All the way at the end of the article. Most of the article is home town fan stuff. The home town rag does an article a day leading up to Kelly's fights. Its real exciting to fight here in the hometown, said Pavliks trainer, Jack Loew. I think people are gonna be surprised this time. I think theyre gonna see the old Kelly Pavlik back, a little more boxing. I like the idea of "a little more boxing." Kelly does need to get back to his roots a bit. However, I'll miss the beast that ran over McKart, Zertcuhe, Miranda, and Taylor between July '06 and September '07:hey
The second Taylor fight was pretty good. The first 10 rounds had many rounds that were hard to score. JT kept his hands up, stayed off the ropes, and countered extremely well every time Pav tried to "double the ****ing jab." Nobody was really "in charge" until the 11th round.
He didn't stay off the ropes, but he just wasn't on the ropes as much. But yes, some ppl even gave it to JT, but it wasn't like JT did enough to cause any controversy.
Okay, Jermain did not stay off the ropes like Hopkins stayed OFF THE ****ING ROPES, but he did keep from ever getting trapped there.
I'd have to go back and look, watched it several times, but it may have been the case that if he touched, he moved away, like a 'pinball'. 11th was the only significant time and it allowed Pavlik to make him pay.
I'm starting to get kind of excited about Saturday. Pavlik's training camps are usually a pretty open affair, but this one has been shut up tight. Very quiet. Before the Hopkins fight Team Pavlik got quiet, and now we know why. I'm sure this is a very different situation. "Boxing more," "A different fighter" "The old Kelly" "YOGA:think" WTF, there is something of an aura of mystery about this ****!
Yeah. I'm not even sure what to HOPE to expect really. If he puts on a boxing clinic for 12 rounds, it was only Rubio. If he puts him down and out in the first, it is the same old Kelly that has learned nothing.
Why? He can't box, it's as simple as that. He's a rangy, volume punching, come forward aggressive fighter who punches with both hands, not somebody who's gonna keep on his toes and keep firing the jab and moving.
