Damn. For a moment I got excited that someone will share us how his pregnant girlfriend ordered sex stop (the 9 month excuse) only to find yet another Klitschko bash thread. :-( Haye gave birth 2 years ago, Povekin last year, I wonder WHO NEX!

But Haye is naturally going to be concerned that if he signs to fight Wlad that the date will be jeopardised by Wlad taking on an opponent before hand.

For example: If Chisora does the impossible and beats Wlad, the fights off.

That going a bit too far? Okay, what if Chisora lands on Wlad, cuts Wlad, Wlad wins but needs to postpone his fight with Haye for his cuts/wounds to recover? Still, Chisora landing anything meaningful on Wlad is unlikely....okay then s'pose it's a clash of heads. Anything that would require Wlad to postpone his fight with Haye, it's possible.

Also, Wlad v Chisora could affect the hype for Wlad v Haye negatively. Haye taking on Wlad is a heavyweight from England stepping up to take on the best heavyweight in the world, that is part of the angle that sells it. The problem is you can apply that to the Chisora fight now instead. Kind of takes the gloss off Haye doing it. If casual boxing fans in Britain tune in to see Chisora get beat they may decide not to bother with the Haye fight "Seen it all before!" and all that.

And what if Wlad puts on a stinker against Chisora? He's known to be robotic, boring and not very aggressive, not taking risks, not going for KO's. What if he just wins a bread a butter, bland unanimous decision over 12 rounds, are casuals likely to fork out £15 a couple of months later to see it all again? Remember, people felt robbed by paying to see Haye v Harrison, if Wlad puts on a shíthouse performance too then that might make up the minds of the casuals not to bother buying Wlad v Haye.

Right now there's enough time to sign this fight and build the hype for it, so fans forget that Wlad is boring and haye fought Audley. They could get the hype machine going now so everyone is ready and eager by July. Wlad needs to cancel his fight with Derek though and just look to July.

But 8 weeks? I'm not sure that's enough time to hype this fight up enough to guarantee the sales (in England) Haye thinks it will do.

****, my teas burning. Gotta leave it here.
