I think it's just a fad and I don't like it at all. 2 minutes per round and only 7 rounds? WTF! That's some amateur, womens boxing type ****. The ring looks stupid as hell too. I heard last night Rosado vs Stevens that Stevens knocked dumb ass Rosado down and the judges had it a draw with 7 rounds? So not only do they make boxing look like a joke with this new ****, but then they bring in the ****ty scoring too? Hopefully this passes over soon.
It's a fad, I don't wish it to fail but I don't see it being a long term successful sport. I don't like it either.
I had hopes for it, but what I seen last night was not promising. Not enough skills involved, it's very early for it though, we could end up seeing a new different type of skill emerge from it, or continue a downward slide into limited skill.
i really enjoyed the main event in the end im a fight sports guy, bring out to guys fighting hand to hand and im interested its an interesting concept
Its the same as Roller Hockey, And1 Basketball and Arena Football...all tried to capitalize on the main sport by altering their rules and playing arena, with the understanding that it will draw in "new" fans. When in fact is does the complete opposite and pushes away fans with their bogus rules, protocol and championships...!!!
Wasn't this originally Bare Knuckle Boxing? But they couldn't get permits for it. So then it turned into just journeymen boxers with stupid rules in a pit?
i could like it but it needs 3 minute rounds, smaller gloves and a tiebreaker round or probably will flop. it needs to be popular to qualify as a fad. you could claim it's a gimmick doomed for failure or something along that line. stevens and rosado did bkb no favors by standing around and just feinting so often. $30k bonus for a knockout and they laid an egg.
it's a fad. I wouldn't say stupid fad but it's just not really that enjoyable. No matter what the set up is nobody ust wants to slug like a maniac and the set up of 7 rounds 2 minutes a piece isn't long enough IMO. like rosado said last night he was sticking in moving. Even in a tiny little ring guys want to not get beat up badly.
