I am not on about king getting options, he is a big name promoter still and will try and get good coverage for this fight rather than a european promoter like warren etc who are more bothered about protecting fighters. Also maloney is haye's promoter and he seemed to be able to get lewis the big fights so i don't see why he would struggle with haye, who is a much more exciting and marketable fighter. Also even if he gives the belts up he is still the recognised cruiserweight champ if he wins, maybe not on the abc side of things but still recognised and with is power and style he is an easy fighter to market against the current crop of heavyweights.

still do not understand you reasoning.

haye v mormeck as far as i am aware at the moment is not being picked up by sky or itv.

it is not going out in the usa, but on canal plus in france.

haye would not sign to fight macrannelli because of the options warren put on the table stipulating haye would fight skelton/williams/sprott etc etc if he won.

why would then haye tie himself to king and not warren.

fighting big name heavys costs a lot of money if you want home advantage , or for them to fight you.

what about the money behind /dimetrenko/povetkin/boystov/virchis/etc etc.
IMO haye will not automatically shoot to the top of the list hence i said 4 to 5 fights.

Ding, I'm afraid I still pick Enzo to beat you, just cause Warren isn't keen on the fight doesn't mean you still wouldn't lose if it did happen.
    Enzo is no bum.

Haye vs mormeck fight was annoucned yesterday so i am pretty sure it will be on sky, as cotto vs mosley is on satanta. I mentioned nothing about him tying himself to king, however don king is a big name in america and using his influence he should be able to get the fight seen in america as it will make him more money. In regards to fighting at home, haye is quite happy to fight anywhere unlike alot of british fighter's hence fighting in mormecks home nation.
Also haye is a more excitin fighter than any you mentioned, note i am not saying better but he will be alot easier to market. Also maloney seemed to be able to get the big fight's for lewis so why are you doubting the money behind haye.

    i agree.
    to many youngsters fawning.

style`s make fights, and macrannelli has the style to outbox ding and the power to keep ding honest.

would warren think along the lines stated.
    of course.

They would never have too because Warren literally owns WBO!

Enzo is just as overprotected as all Warrens fighters/moneymakers/WBO warriors.
Do you know Warren offered Johny Jensen to fight Enzo on the Calzaghe-Kessler undercard?:-( It seems to me like Warren wants to make Enzo look good on a very very cheap background, because Enzo would trash the useless Jensen in 2-3 rounds without breaking a sweat.

Too bad Warren/Enzo don't dare go through with fights where Enzo actually could risk losing such as against Haye and yes, Ding.;)

Yes but he got him the fight's and haye is a very marketable guy, big puncher, used to be a model, rumoured to be dating kylie minogue etc etc, how hard is it to get backers for a guy like that.

We can't, because WBO doesn't operate with mandatories. Just ask Calzaghe who has had TWO, against the same fighter, in ten years!

Simple. If he ties his career to Warren, after beating Enzo he gets stuck on the british havyweight merry-go-round fighting Williams and Sprott and Skelton. That is a dead end for him and he knows it. Why would he want to **** around with those guys? Haye is also a risk taker, he took challenging fights early in his career and hasnt been overly protected, which goes against the Frank Warren philosophy completely.

Don King on the otherhand WILL get you a title shot. Maybe not the undisputed lineal title, but a title nontheless. He got Andrew Golota and Fres ****ing Oquendo title shots didn't he? Its not like they had to do much to deserve it.

If Haye wins the WBC cruiserweight championship then he's in a strong position to challenge for that Heavyweight title. He'll probably be automatically top 10 coz Tomaz Bonin was ranked 11 when he beat him. So lets look at the top 15 in the WBC rankings.

1 .- Samuel Peter (Nigeria) NABF
2 .- Vladimir Virchis (Ukraine) EBU
3 .- Oliver McCall (US) INTL
    4 .- Hasim Rahman (US) NABF/Interim
5 .- Juan Carlos Gomez (Cuba) LATINO
    6 .- Nicolay Valuev (Russia)
    7 .- Alexander Dimitrenko (Ukraine)
    8 .- Donnell Holmes (US)
    9 .- Alexander Povetkin (Russia)
10 .- David Tua (New Zealand)
    11 .- Calvin Brock (US)
    12 .- Chris Arreola (US)
    13 .- Chris Byrd (US)
    14 .- Michael Moorer (US)
    15 .- JD Chapman (US) LATINO/Interim

Lets just assume that Oleg Maskaev isn't gonna be champion for much longer. He's gonna get stripped or beaten by Sam Peter at some point. Looking at those rankings, who does he have to beat to get a title shot? Calvin Brock? Hasim Rahman? the winner of Juan Carlos Gomez - Oliver McCall II? Alexander Povetkin perhaps? thats 2 or 3 fights before he's the no.1 contender if you ask me. Those names would be great fights. Haye stands a good chance against all of 'em. If he bombs out someone like Rahman or Gomez then he's gonna be pretty high on the list.

You just described every single boxer (and successful athelete) ever. NO ONE could possibly get into the ring and fight world class boxers unless they had an ego the size of Russia. Combine that with the fact that Ding has a LOT of things to be cocky about (an iron chin, massive power, underrated skills, killer instinct etc.) and it's totally understandable.

In fact, I can't think of many boxers with as much talent as Ding and such a realistic sense of their abilities.

Sorry to hear you didn't get the fight Ding, but not surprised. Don't blame Enzo, blame Warren. The bloke is a complete wanker and terrible for British boxing. I was so pleased when Hatton left him.

Calzaghe is coming towards the end of his career and Warren only has Enzo and Khan left as big ticket sellers. He won't risk either against a big puncher.

I happen to think Enzo would have too much for Ding, but Warren wants a 99% chance of a win, not a 70% chance
