Why does floyd get a free pass when he gets a gift?

to an extent i agree with you but some fights are so painful, so corrupt that i don't count them against or for a fighter. this may not be one of em. but chavez/whitaker for instance is a win for sweet pea. i don't count it against pernell's record and i don't count it towards chavez's. it's not always black and white imo

 

1st off .. I don't see threads being made for either of those like they are made for floyd
2nd ... I could understand leonard/hagler being debated but whitaker/chavez isnt a debate .. its a discussion .. every one I know even my mexican friends say chavez got a gift .. that's a completely different thread
3rd.. sugar ray/ hagler was on a wayyyyy bigger platform than floyd/jlc ... so were supposed to talk about ray/hag and ray/hearns and duran/hearns even dhl/tito should be talked about more than this .. this was supposed to be another belt collected for floyd and it got ugly ... collazo whoop hatton but going into the may fight hatton was "undefeated" .. ok he got credit for a win when he should've lost every1 moved on ... why is this any different .. jlc himself moved on why can't u guys do the same

This **** has been settled by polls and public opinion.

It's only a popular topic because it's either floyd has a loss or he doesn't.
Most of us feel he does.

You probably think he won, which is why we still have to bring the loss up when people get over zealous frothing at the mouth talking about how floyd is some sort of magic reincarnation of a love child between SRR and SRL.

@ the end of the day .. u can feel however u want about them .. it isn't gonna change the outcome .. when whitaker made the hall of fame .. his record on the plaque counted that fight ... well then I guess we have to eat it as much as we disagree .. that draw is always going to be there

And we as boxing fans owe it to the fighters to give them the recognition for their hard work.

"Hey, they ****ing robbed you, good job beating up Chavez"

Castillo deserves the legacy of the man who took floyd's 0 away. You are content to sit back and let it be overlooked. Some of us have more respect for the sport than that.
