I've seen worse decisions, but I thought Floyd lost the first fight. Props to him to give Castillo the second fight inwhich he won.

No floyd fan has said anything about this fight that I didn't myself say back in 05/06.

I just took off the 'floyd is an unbeatable boxer' goggles after he barely got by oscar then retired.

There was a dude on my submarine that used to give me **** about this fight, because I was talking about mayweather vs this guy and vs that guy and he never fought any of them.

I also used to say "well, his shoulder was ****ed up... but he took the rematch pretty handily" like it would somehow erase the fact he got a gift vs castillo.

This is why none of these arguments work on me when I talk about this fight.
I've been there and done that.

Floyd is a disappointment in the sport anywhere but financially.

Good on him for taking high reward low risk fights. It was smart to do.

    :good

I thought Mayweather won the 8th, Castillo caught him with a few bodyshots but Floyd landed some bigger head shots, his jabs were also a lot cleaner compared to Castillo's which were catching Mayweather's arms more. 10-8.

I thought Mayweather won the 10th comfortably, his output looked superior in the first 2 minutes of the round and he was using his jab well and catching him with hooks, Castillo fired in some good body shots but not enough to take the round for me. 9-9.

So you pick the 2 rounds with point deductions and give them to floyd to make the fight as close to a win for him as possible.

    Good job MichiganWarrior.

How would it make any difference what 2 rounds I gave him? You say it as if me giving him the rounds with point deductions is better than me giving him the 11th or 12th.

I've given an explanation why I gave him those rounds where as you haven't, s why do you think Castillo won those 2 rounds?

    Because a 10-8 hurts a lot more than a 9-9??

Are you past grade school math?

Floyd won the 8th and 11th!! He won the 10 th to but the deduction made it a 9-9 round.

    Are you?

    Rd 1 - 10-9
    Rd 2 - 10-9
    Rd 3 - 10-9
    Rd 4 - 10-9
    Rd 5 - 10-9
    Rd 6 - 9-10
    Rd 7 - 9-10
    Rd 8 - 10-8
    Rd 9 - 9-10
    Rd 10 - 9-9
    Rd 11 - 9-10
    Rd 12 - 9-10

    Adds up to 114-112.

Now if as I suggested gave Mayweather the 11th and 12th instead of the 8th and the 10th then how would that change the scoring.

    Rd 1 - 10-9
    Rd 2 - 10-9
    Rd 3 - 10-9
    Rd 4 - 10-9
    Rd 5 - 10-9
    Rd 6 - 9-10
    Rd 7 - 9-10
    Rd 8 - 9-9
    Rd 9 - 9-10
    Rd 10 - 8-10
    Rd 11 - 10-9
    Rd 12 - 10-9

    114-112.

    It makes no difference.

Yeah, when you switch both it doesn't make a difference, no ****ing ****.

but if you give floyd BOTH ROUNDS, it greatly advances the case for him at least nearing a draw.

I did say 9-9 at the end of the post which was referring to Mayweather winning the round with the deduction bringing it level.

That's what I said didn't I? Try reading properly next time or haven't you passed grade school English?

You're making out me giving Mayweather the 8th and 10th compared to the 11th and 12th was some big advantage because of the points deduction which it wasn't.

I said you gave floyd both point deducted rounds.... taking floyd from a 10-8 round which he clearly lost, to a 9-9 round which steals 2 points from castillo.

How did he clearly lose it?

He landed the cleaner head shots as well as landing plenty with the jab, Castillo landed a few body shots but Mayweather had his elbows tucked in for some of them so they were not connecting with his body.
