I have seen that and many other Shane and Floyd fights to the detail too many times. Shane went toe to toe, tit 4 tat with Cotto and started boxing, moving in circles mid round 6, nobody took a step back. Yes, Cotto was successful hitting Shane with a stiff left lead and a right counter like Vargas happened to achieve in that Feb 2006 fight. Shane has problems blocking str8 punches and doesn't take steps back, he just moves a little bit to the side and feints with his body-head to duck and dodge those shots.

Now, Mayweather had a mountain of problems to get his lead shot off against Hatton who came rushing in and believe it or not, was hitting Floyd clean with short jabs and left hooks coming in - it was the right hand that started to put Hatton off and more stationary. Floyd was never physical about anything in his life, not even in the Corrales fight, he just hooked Chico who was standing still and caught him 4 or 5 times b4 that double right hand that made his dad throw the towel in. The 3 fights that Floyd tried to man up were against Chicanito Hernandez, Manfredi and Corley and he was hurt seriously in the fourth round of that fight. So forget about Floyd coming on! It's gonna be Floyd stayin out of reach, jumping in to land a jab or two, a sneaky right from down low and lots of short left hooks inside, that's it! NO REASON TO COMPARE COTTO WITH FLOYD!

Can Mosley keep up an effective pressure for 12 rounds?

If he can do it, I am counting an upset.

the only fight mosley has looked good in the last few years is against margarito. he didn't look great against mayorga, nor vargas considering how shot vargas actually is.

He won't Shane can cut off a ring to save his life. All he does is follow you around which is the worst thing you can do against a guy like PBF because you will get picked apart. He also comes forward without a real jab another no no against PBF.

the jab will be the key for this fight. i'm very sure mosley's team will be working with him on the jab. the jab is also important for mayweather aswell as that's the punch that totally puts mosley off his game. it'll be interested to see who uses their jab effectively more.

I agree. Anyone who has thrown a good jab has befuddled and beaten Mosley with the exception of Oscar. PBF is smart and already knows this so I expect him to use his jab a lot more in this fight than in others. The jab to the body and to the head.
