90% of the time, getting knocked out, stopped by cuts or whatever is so much easier to come back from than losing via gas tank issues. Them scars will stay with him when he starts to hear 6/7/8/9 all over again, he will have in his head if that’s what it’s like in 8/9 how am I going to feel in 10/11/12. I fear these are way worse than just getting clipped. He’s still a boy in a man’s body, he may not be mature enough to come to terms with what has happened, ever. The talent is clearly immense, but this could scar deep long term. I don’t think he’s going to see past 6 rounds a lot in his career and it may take a while till he sees it again meaning he may never get a chance to exorcise these demons until he’s in the ring with a zombie like fighter in which he may not be prepared mentally for. Does this now change how Itauma fights early? Is he going to become more reserved now…
Itauma lacks stamina, but his power has been overestimated too. Hrgovic said the power didn't bother him, just that he couldn't see the shots. Hrgovic is tough as old boots, but a lot of bigger stronger heavyweights will do something similar. And if Itauma goes slower the opponent can always go faster...it takes two to tango. These things are never as simple as the optimists make out. It reminded me a bit of Price Thompson
