    That's the sense I'm getting, and I think it's because HBO and Showtime employed the strategy of waiting longer to do their hype stuff. I'm sure people will seem more excited on fight week, but I wonder if they maybe didn't shoot themselves in the foot with this approach.

    Yeah the promotion has been weak but I also think its because people really believed that Canelo could smash Mayweather but in this case people are trying and failing to convince themselves that Pacquiao will have success

    At least that was the case with me ha ha

    No excitement here either, I'm not sure why many would think Manny has a chance. I know a lot of people think Pac is a good boxer, but I still see him as mostly a brawler with some basic boxing that gets enhanced with his natural abilities, still though, compared to Floyd he might as well be a one dimensional face first brawler...and I can't shake that feeling.

    I get the feeling alot of people are suffering from either the mere shock that the fight is actually taking place;

    or the whole Christmas Day as a kid type mentality...ya know where you wait and wait for Christmas, then once it comes, its over so fast you didn't realize all the hoopla surrounding it...!!!

    Terribly promoted. A promotional disaster. Not much buzz whatsoever but maybe it will take a big turn a day or two before the fight.

    I hear casuals talking about it a hell of a lot over here in the UK. Plus its on Sky Sports who hype these things up to the max so i'm expecting fight week to be ridiculous.
