This Edwin Valero saga is ridiculous

I had considered that myself tbh. :-(

It hasn't quite been as quick as some people have said IMO. There were allegations of abuse starting last year and they never really went away. It all flared up again in the last few weeks. The whole situation and pressure from the media seemingly took their toll. From what I understand, Edwin could barely move without someone from the media on his tail & it just added to his fragile mental state :-(

I'm gutted. I think Edwin was just one of those guys on a mission to self destruct.

Drink-driving, domestic violence, drug and alcohol addiction, murder and then suicide. You couldn't make this up.

Apparently a bunch of posters on here are blind. You guys really didn't expect him to kill his wife? It was just a matter of time, the man broke her ribs and collapsed a lung. What was next?

he's the poster boy of the lot , you just need to listen to him speak and you can tell his mechanism isnt right

Like many on here I ****ed about with the amatuers for a while , did a bit of Kick boxing , some Karate and **** and its all good fun , but to take punches for a living to live a life like that requires a mind set even more extreme than that of a ususal pro-athlete ( and those people are mental enough )

Crazy... Too many anger management issues. He was just starting to become a big name... too bad. Great in the ring, not so great out.

I can't believe this whole tragedy...Valero was one of my fave up & coming fighters, but unbeknown to me a complete lunatic. Here is some good footage of him sparring with Morales (2 minutes into the vid).

For a long time coming... This guy that had a perfect KO record would have given manny a run for his money.

I have a feeling the autopsy will reveal brain trauma similar to Benoit.

Hence I'm not jumping on the "**** Valero" train just yet.

Yeah I find it silly that he wasn't on suicide watch. I'm guessing they knew he would do it and simply let him go ahead.

I feel so ****ing angered about this series of events. Can't say I didn't see the suicide coming though.

People need to realise the human brain isn't suppose to take so many shots to the head. We can only imagine what sick things go in the minds of boxers that endure so much punishment. Maybe they need a brain scan for fighters after every fight or something.
