This fight was won for floyd before he even walked out. Shane was beaten psychologically before the bell rang- you could see it in his demeanour. and the credit must go to floyd for psychologically handling it better as well as physically. He maintained composure throughout- even when he was being hit in the 2nd- he was mentally in a better place than shane. It goes to show how mentally strong these cats are. He taunted Shane relentlessley until Shanes willpower literally broke. I thought at some points during promotion he would cry- he s just too nice to **** with floyd. there was a point where they stopped to talk. Shane was talking and floyd was jawing too- Floyd then just threw a one two into Shanes grill- and Shane stood there and TALKED AND COMPLANIED BACK! that to me illustrates the fighters. Shane s a warrior- but he s a gentleman. Floyds a nasty mofo who wants to win- first and last, he never forgets he s there to win, not to hit- and hurt, or put on a show, or come off nice, but to win.

I think the two best fighters share alot of traits- 2 being that they work harder than anyone else, and secondly their mentally stronger than anyone else. though they do it in different ways, floyd thru his defiance and arrogance which re-inforces his own confidence, the ol say it then back it up mentality- which he does as well as anyone. Pac s confidence comes from almost an inner peace- where he seems comfortable with who and what he is at all times- who else smiles to the ring giggling like a child. Both these guys have amazing warrior spirit.

anyway- just wanted to bring it up and say that its truly inspiring.

Freddie Roach said some like this: boxing is 95% mental, everybody comes in shape

This fight illustrates what happens when you turn 38 and haven't fought for over a year.

    So true.

It was shocking to see how an elite veteran in Mosley, who had seen and done it all in his career, fold so badly under the mental pressure he was experiencing. All the pre-fight talk from Mayweather..'you're not on my level....I'mma **** you up some more....you're lesser than me'..seemed to have been engraved in to Mosley's head, and forced him to concede to it. So much so, that even when he hurt and rocked Mayweather in the 2nd, he seemed apologetic for it, and failed to take confidence in it.

agreed. floyd is smart and tries to win by any means necessary, if possible to have the upper hand before the bell rings. he understands how important the mental game is hence the reason why he makes such an effort to get in the other guys head. this is the reason he asked for the additional testing with pac and mosley, and also came in two pounds above the agreed weight against marquez.

You *******s are seriously reaching. It is just so pitiful to see you finally crawl out from under your rocks as the shine from FMJ's win dies down.

Remember this... When the history books are written know you were the know nothing fools who thought FMJ wasn't great. It will forever be a stain on your alleged boxing "love". You watch one of the greatest boxers in history and didn't even know it. Fools.
