THIS FLOYD VS MARTINEZ TALK f...ken sucks

Williams and Pavlik both looked like they were stuck on stupid against Martinez. PBF would fight smart and probably score a UD in rather uneventful fight.

 

The rematch looks unlikely right now. I don't think KP can make 160. In retrospect he probably should have moved up after the second Taylor fight.

 

Mayweather needs to fight, Pacquiao, Cotto, Martinez and retire with 44-0 undefeated with nothing to prove and greatest of all time.

 

I agree. In fact I would call Martinez a slight favorite.

Martinez almost upset Paul Williams, owned Cintron, and then upsets Pavlik of course Martinez has what it takes to beat Floyd. Of course Floyd fights for the money or else he would of taken this fight already. But you know damn well it's on his mind because if he would take the Martinez fight his credentials would be sky high, but the risk factor is also sky high. When Floyd Sr. was locked up he'd advise Floyd to stay away from southpaws. Pacman and Martinez are both fast, hard punching southpaws. Basically Floyd's nightmares. Can he beat them? Of course, but he also has high chances of losing than ever before. I think he's going to wait out for Martinez to get knocked off his highhorse by Williams and will go for the Pacman-Margarito winner or Cotto-Foreman winner. But I really don't think Floyd would risk fighting Martinez before a Pacquiao showdown. There is Berto too, but I think that's a low reward-high risk for him too.

 

Do Floyd detractors really want to see Sergio fight him? Since he is the bigger star Floyd would most likely control the weight class which I presume is closer to ww than mw. Group that with OSDT and Sergio's age, it could mean he's in the toughest fight of his life. We've seen that you can neutralize Sergio with a jab and good timing in the fight against Pavlik. Those are some of the things Floyd does best. I'm not saying I don't want to see the fight but I can already hear the downplay if Floyd wins: "Sergio was blood drained! The guy's a senior citizen!"

I like Sergio and I'd root for him but be careful at what you wish for because he is pushing 40 yrs of age. In Boxing fighters get old overnight more often than we think or so I hear.

 

Catching on are you??? This is what they do. They will be calling for the fight until its signed then they will start with all the excuses such as you have already started. If he is too old for Floyd once the fight is signed then he is too old NOW. Also keep in mind that Floyd isnt 28 himself, Floyd is only a shade younger so that isnt an excuse. Sergio is 35 and Floyd 33. Sergio is also a career jr middle so if the fight was at 156 or so he wouldnt be at any disadvantage.

 

If he would have moved UP in weight, he would have easily beat Hopkins.
