yes but a lot of them were well above 190. to call HW of back then glorified cruisers is a disgrace to that golden era of HW. stupid comment in my opinion

You make a thread about people making sweeping statements and having an agenda and you follow it up by making your own. The only difference between you and the "haters" is in your agenda being pro Klit.

    Funny that.

Look at the way Wlad tossed the huge, massive 6foot 5inch Tony
Thompson around the ring late in the fight. Hell Thompson is several
lbs. heavier than Wlad but the difference in raw physical strength
was obvious... What would Wlad do to those comparatively little
men of yesteryear when he wrapped them up in one of his bear-like
clinches and started pressing down HARD. As Thompson himself said
pre-fight he couldn't believe Wlad's strength when he sparred him once.
The sheer physical strength of the modern superheavyweight would
prove to be an overwhelming advantage fighting many of the much
smaller, weaker men of decades past. Also Wlad is very athletic and
    fast for a huge man.

I don't have to give my opinion to a Wlad butt snorkeler like you because the truth of Wlads averageness is self evident.........FFS after last nights performance Foreman is thinking about coming out of retirement again.

OK, name which top five heavyweights from the 70s, 80s and 90s that Wlad would beat, and the reasons why.

Vlad is becoming so overated at heavy in the h2h sense that it is almost laughable. Gets KO'd by a Brewster and a Sanders but is too "big" for the likes of Frazier and Ali.

I cant name the posters off hand, but there were a few that called him a ***** and other names that seemed to question his manhood and toughness. Brewster was my favorite fighter, after he beat Wlad the first time I almost let a tear drop, it was probably my favorite sports moment of all-time. I tend to pull for the underdog or the guy thats got more heart and toughness, than skill and god given talent.

I am a true Boxing fan, as well as a hater at times, but unlike some haters, I will give Wlad and others there just due when they prove me wrong or show greatness. I even made the comment, Wlad probably has one of the top 3 best jabs I ever seen from a Heavyweight, as best straight right since Lewis.

I'll give you one because I'm growing bored with this topic.
Ken Norton would have been lucky to last as long against Wlad
as he did against George Foreman. He was a good boxer but was
very vulnerable and was quickly dispatched by powerpunchers and
few of those oldtimers hit with the power of 240lb. plus Wlad.
Oh, this is too easy. Too think scrubs like Pinklin Thomas and
that drug-addled flake Trevor Berbick would even be competitive
with the power and boxing technique of the 1996 superheavyweight
Olympic champion and long-term world champion Dr. Steelhammer
    is mindboggling.

Wlad wouldn't be as big if he was born 60 years ago, and older fighters wouldn't be as small if they were born today.

The change in size of heavyweights is do to environmental factors like steroids, better nuturition, and weight training, that older fighter didn't have access to.

Relax. Breathe. Now count the patently homoerotic references in this post.
