Isn't Spinks fighting Molina as well.

Should be a decent night of action

Pretty deep card. Donovan George is on there too...not sure if it'll be televised though.

I thought Jose Luis Castillo was on the undercard for Spinks/Molina?

Is it even getting televised? :huh

    Like, it's been confirmed?

    There is a 12-round main event and a 10-round co-feature. That doesn't leave much time for an 8-rounder in a 2-hour broadcast.

Even if they do squeeze in an 8-rounder, it could just as easily be Donovan George vs. James Cook. Unlike Szpilka, George is already known to American TV audiences.

    Most likely it'll be structured:

Smith vs. Castillo to open up. (probably going the distance)

Random 4-round swing bout, time allowing.

Molina vs. Spinks. (probably going the distance)

...and that will be that. Out of time.

Showing Smith vs Castillo and not Spikz vs Mollo will cause me to lose all respect for fnfs and will finally push me over the edge and I will shoot Atlas in tbr face sign a shotgun as he's on camera giving one of his stupid analogies.

"This gun its like a train. And your face its like a prius on the tracks and *bang* because **** you, you **** sucking mudda ****a you!!!"

Agreed. Particularly for this Friday, the fights should be shown instead of some extended, idiotic anology by Atlas comparing a fighter's style to Urban Meyer's spread option offense in American college football.

Szpilka-Mollo will be aired for sure, public TV in Poland is to air it live at around 5 am in Poland

    :?

Szpilka vs. Mollo will be more exciting, sure - but so would many 4-rounders between club brawlers from the regional circuit.

Smith is boring and inconsistent, but he's a frequently televised hanger-on in perennial contention coming off an upset of 17-0 Ronald Cruz - and JLC is a ****ing legend, faded though he may be, and also coming off a televised upset of a prospect. Szpilka hasn't made a mark yet and Mollo hasn't been a significant presence at heavyweight since the Golota war five years ago.

No way in hell it gets airing priority over Smith vs. Castillo.

OK, that's Polish TV. We're talking about ESPN2.

I highly doubt they'll black-out Smith vs. Castillo to show Szpilka vs. Mollo instead.

If this was a ShoBox I could see a triple-header, but there simply isn't enough time in the FNF format including commercials and Teddy's contractual soapbox antics to fit a 12, 10, and 8 rounder (especially with the longer ones likely to go the distance)

    I actually do like kielbasa.

    Chorizo is better, though.

Szpikz is at least a prospect and might go places. Smith got easily beat by Cintron and has shown more then once he will never amount to anything and castillo is beyond shot and showing him on tv is a disgrace.

Prospect and action.... What more can you want? Smith vs Castillo is basically a battle of who will retire the fastest.

That fight has no business on tv let alone over the Pole vs Mollo.

If it was Szpilka against someone meaningful or who'd recently popped up on American TV, I'd agree. Say, Szpilka vs. Abdusallamov or something.

Szpilka should roll a rusty Mollo. If he doesn't, he isn't much of a prospect at all, is he? ;)

Smith and Castillo are coming off high-profile wins. The bulk of FNF audiences are familiar with both, and have never seen (nor probably even heard of) Szpilka.

It might be a snoozefest, but it's more likely to be the co-feature.
