This gets me everytime!

yeah theres a load of those sort of fights. where even after the fact you would still think the other guy is the better fighter.


but man i love this fight just puts a massive grin on my face.
i hate kirkland. hated how he beat up his sparring partners to a pulp. which is as similar as bombing a speedball. hate the hype for being unbeaten and a power puncher which was mostly adjusted to his skill level and that he just drives into guys without any respect.
then this spindely guy who having left his country in the midst of post tsyunami/earthquake/radiation leak. clocks him hard within a matter of seconds is..just...bootiful. watched it again and if i was in a different state of mind i could probably shed a tear.

the crowd gave so much love for ishida.

 

Remember watching this, very exciting.

 

Even after the interview he got several curtain calls as he went from side to side to bow. Seems to have started with disgust for Kirkland and build every time Kirkland went into denial.
