AJ is an ATG athlete. That's it. Boxing skills are non existent at all. Some journeymen have better skills than AJ. The only chance he beats Usyk is an one punch hail mary which i don't believe in as Usyk already took some good shots and wasn't even buzzed. I wouldn't rule out another attempt of robbery as one judge tried hard in the first fight but i doubt it. Usyk is just superior in every department compared to Joshua.
The most comical thing about that, other than the off the charts cringe that is, is who he was directing the monologue at ie. Usyk. He genuinely thought he could intimidate the most fearless fighter in the game, someone who hails from a much tougher place than Watford, a war-torn one at that, by basically doing his adult version of bragging about the post code he comes from
Would not call Ruiz an elite test, just a bad night for AJ when he should have won. Lennox lost to Rahman and came back, avenged his defeat by KO and is widely considered the best ever at the weight. Realistically AJ is the only HW today close to ATG status, Fury’s record is bad. Aj has beaten everyone possible at the weight. He is only 2 wins away from ATG. Usyk, Fury and maybe he will smash Wilder after that to put the icing on the cake. Dont get it twisted, Aj has lost because he fights the best opponents. He doesn’t retire every 5 minutes like that gypsy
Joshua has a good skillset, better than most heavyweights of recent years. What really let's him down is a lack of toughness AND stamina. Sure, nobody has it all, but those two specific things he lack really hold him back. He's simply too fragile to beat the wrong opponent, and will wind up too tired to try and adjust.
Agreed stamina is an issue, could just be his genetics. People say it's because he works out too much for looks rather than fitness, but that's obviously wrong. He's obviously a good athlete, it's just this gas tank sucks because of his genetics. He's a good athlete, but what he's good at (his aggressive combinations), take a lot out of him. He's got insane power, good speed over a short distance, but can only do that for a period of time. It's good that he's learned to box, and he just needs to pick and choose his time to be aggressive. If he can land a good strong right hand on usyk and follow up with a big combination, he could at least hurt and knock down Usyk, and Usyk could need time to recover also.
