Aye that fights well known on this side of the pond. You can never diss Danny Williams for heart. He's always been an enigma has Danny, very talented but you have never known what you were going to get with him.He was very rarely in shape.
WTF? The heavily muscled Williams is hardly a tub of lard. The guy stays in good shape all year round unlike the guy in your avatar... Williams on form is a force of nature but he has been known to turn up to fights in person only, leaving his boxing brain back in the gym.
Well thats the difference between a complete warrior and Vitali. Not that I'm passing judgement at all mind, merely an observation.
Impressive stuff. Always liked Danny. Felt he probably could have and should have achieved more. I remember him knocking out Iron Mike a couple of years ago, and while I was cheering for Tyson that day I was impressed at the way Williams pulled himself off the canvas to win it.
Williams has a bigger heart than Vitali but he also has a bigger heart than everyone else, so no shame in that. No need to hate on Vitali in this thread.
How Danny kept getting up in the Vitali fight was beyond me as well. He basicly took 8 rounds of completely 1 sided punishment and Vitali was not holding back either. Going down 3 or 4 times and he still got up in the end for more when the ref finally waved it off.
My jaw drops everytime I see that footage. Look up heart in the dictionary, it says - 'see Danny Williams'.
I think he got a mention under "balls" as well. I'm guessing without those things he would be a middleweight.
Jeez, I've dislocated my shoulders multiple times and watching that made my shoulder ache. Damn! That's heart. Those clinches must have hurt like hell.
That had to be unbelievably painful. Cannot believe I have not seen this before. Thanks for sharing this. Danny Williams is a ****ing BAD ASS. Very inspirational performance.
