His skills are a bit raw, and he'll be 32 in those Olympics, but I think he has a chance! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtgmS0F94lU[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0Jqej3KOJo[/ame]
He's in great general shape which is a good place to start and with more training he may go far. Desire and willingness to improve are the best attributes in boxing imo.
Yep, it's me...but someone else added the captions. But remember the name Anthony Randolph...2012...I'm bringing a gold medal back to the states...
Nah, I'll never turn pro, even if I was good enough and had the opportunity. 32 is way too old to become a successful pro, anyway. I'm actually getting into film making, and me training, going out for the olympics, and hopefully winning for the US will all be part of my first film...heh heh.
I bought one of those too. I hate it. But I guess is ok if you just want to sweat a lil. But if you really want to improve your boxing, here is my advice: Take the punching bag and hang it from the roof. Right now is too low and it doesn't allow you to move around. The speed bag will work better if you but a couple of sand bags on top of it. You do the 1-2 ok in the punching bag, but you are allowing your hands to go too low while hitting the speed bag. Keep them up!
How many amateur fights do you have? You have to join a gym man, doing that in a home gym will not get you where you want to be.
Mediocre is right, keep at it though. You're in good physical shape, so that's a great start. Get in the gym and spar though.
