Thats a good point, if he beats Brock what then? Couture is old and Mir was never the same since the accident, very shallow division.

I do wish he had joined the ufc though, its just more conveniant for the fans if all the best fighters are under one roof.

Actually, Mir fully recovered from the accident and is arguably better now than he was before.

The problem is Mir was actually never really that good.

I dont think Mir would have lost to Cruz or Vera ( bad losses when coming back) if it had not been for the accident.

I do think he was always over rated though, have to agree there.

Well, he was fresh off that accident. He wasnt fully recovered and he definitely wasnt in the kind of shape hes in now.

And really, his resume before the accident wasnt very good. So really, who knows what would have happened against Vera or Cruz before the accident. I do know he'd beat them both now.

    Tyson - debatable.
Ali - Nah, 71 was 4 yrs past his prime.

But I do admit, any fighter can lose at any time... which I suppose was your intended point.

    :good

Well Ali had sort of a second prime; a different look to him but possibly even better results with that change, so his real prime is sort of nebulous.

Tyson was in his prime; being lazy and stupid are no his fault, it had nothing to do with being out of his prime. As unlikely as it is, Fedor could go into a fight with the same supidity as Tyson did, he would still be in his prime. People giving Tyson a pass or calling him past his prime because of stupid decisions bother me, that's just as or more important than throwing the right punches or things of that nature.

But yes, were just getting sidetracked

The guy who started this post is probably hired by the UFC's PR team.
