Pacquiao-Clottey being finalized is a dagger. I mean the sport just lost countless potential new fans. It's going to hurt tv ratings, which will in turn lower purses for many fighters. Pac-Clottey would have been a good fight after Mayweather, nobody would have an issue. But it's just unacceptable right now. These assholes just do not care about the public, that we really wanted to see it and were willing to make everyone filthier ****ing rich, but yet you denied us.

Clottey is a tough, tough mf'er. Pac will have already fought two tougher welterweights than PBF has ever faced. If Pac can't get him in the ring, then I guess he's just going to destroy his legacy.

Agreed...this is what Arum wanted, hype up Manny's publicity even more, turn down the fight with Mayweather, use the publicity to sell tix and ppvs with Pac fighting another Top Rank opponent to keep all the money in-house with Top Rank. I mean cmon, if it weren't for this ya think Clottey/Pac would have ever even be considered...especially at Cowboys Stadium.

hells yeah brother. for any football fans, it'd be like celtic-rangers not playing for the SPL title because they couldn't agree on terms. Glasgow would be torn apart by riots. it just would never happen. but in boxing, it's selfish crybaby bull**** from all sides

There is probably still a good chance PBF and Pac fight later this year. And Clottey vs Pac is not bad. Not as good as PBF vs Pac but WHAT IS?

So I am still holding on :(

After Mayweather, Pacquiao will likely retire.

I think you're over reacting a tad with the 'tragic day for the sport' thing. The Pac/May fight was never feasable for the March 13th date in the first place. An event like this will need a few more months if the revenue is to be maximized; hence why the two parties have called this one off, and postponed it until the latter part of 2010 (due to Pac's predential aspiration around May).

Look on the bright side, at least we get to see these two guys fight once more before they hang up fo good. It is in fact better for the sport if they do it this way, as there'll be more anticipation, and more interest from the sporting world.

So, u are saying Arum fugged Floyd as payback for their problems in the past. That c#nt said he wasn't gonna let his personal feelings get in the way in making the fight. What a scum-bag.

I'm refusing to buy this fight out of principle, and I will not watch a Mayweather or Pacman fight until they fight eachother, I hope alot of others do the same!

yes, it's a letdown, but i suppose pacquiao-clottey would be the next best thing. well actually the mosley fight is, but clottey is a hungry fighter and is a welter in his prime and deserves this fight. face it guys, if not for all this pandemonium of the pacman-floyd match happening pacquiao-clottey would leave many fight fans salivating for it to happen. but i do admit, it's like downgrading from the olive garden to a happymeal. that sucks and they destroyed many hopes

I'm with PBF in all of this and i think offering a 14 day window was very reasonable. But i do admit that if the fight doesn't happen and PBF doesn't take on Mosley or any other elite fighters around WW then his legacy is in serious question.
