This is all Floyd Mayweather has to do if he thinks he deserves the lion's share...

...but the Pac camp won't budge: all he has to do is agree to 50-50 and then place a bet on himself! If he is so much better than Pacquiao, then it would be no problem collecting on that bet, and depending on how much he bets, he might walk away with more than he would have got with a 60-40 split!

Another reason why PBF should agree to 50-50 is because of what beating Pac would bring him. More accolades for sure, and it would make him an even bigger draw, and make him even more popular! Why he doesn't realize this makes me think that as much as he says it to others, perhaps HE knows nothing about boxing (the business end anyway)....

...it has been said before, but it's obvious that Floyd sees something in Pacquiao that deeply concerns him. I think - or I KNOW that HE knows that Pacquiao has a damn good chance of taking that 0 that means so much to him, which is why he throws out crazy demands, and would NEVER consider the options I listed above.

Floyd could get 60-40 and then still put a huge bet on himself!!

Tony you are a joke man. FMJ consistently out earns Pac fight, after fight, after fight, etc... In ALL categories gate, PPV buys, etc... but you STILL try to make the case that somehow Pac just deserves 50/50 and if FMJ doesn't take it FMJ is "scared"? WTF logic are you using man?

Yeah there is something that deeply concerns him... A fighter who has NEVER earned like him in big fights trying to get a 50/50 fight with no/lax drug tesing. :blood

He'd get more accolades beating Martinez at Middleweight to be honest.

Excellent point...but I can understand something about that fear but only peripherally as I am not a pro or amateur fighter...and I can only imagine how that fear can only be magnified in such a brutal sport, in such a public forum, with assholic fans everywhere, ready to ridicule you at the moment of failure, and to be recorded in the history book for posterity to contemplate and maybe even laugh at your failure and shortcomings...I guess that's why they pay these guys the big bucks.

It is always safer to be humble for no one is beyond the 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune'...and as Clint Eastwood once said, a man has got to know his limitation.

Dude please. You fools can't come up with one logical business reason as to why FMJ should offer Manny 50% of the purse. :nut

People act like its Mayweather that gains everything from this fight.

Mayweather will probably be the FAVORITE to win this fight, its Pac who will get more glory should he win. Mayweather is bringing the biggest box office attraction, his undefeated record, years as p4p#1 or 2, and the fact that hes expected to win this fight.

I hate saying all that because im coming off like some sort of Floyd fan, im not... im getting sick of defending him on this. Should Pac get 50/50? ya sure that would be nice.... but if he doesnt its not the end of the world, i think Mayweather is bringing more to the table overall then Pac, and this **** is taking too long. Accept the 40% and lets get the fight on, when Pac wins he can get the lions shair next time in a rematch that would be just as huge.

I realise though this is just part of negotiations, it would be stupid NOT to aim for 50%, so it is what it is.... but im just calling it how i see it. And it has nothing to do with being against Pac or for Floyd... it just is what it is. When the time comes i will be rooting for Pac, i just dont see how not getting an even split with floyd mayweather in this biggest fight in the history NEEDS to happen, just fight.... its not like hes getting 25% or some crap.

    just IMO

Because their 2 fights which was pretty even in terms of overall marquee value did pretty close to even numbers. Pac-Hatton/Floyd-Hatton and Pac-Cotto/Floyd-Mosley.

And dont tell me you are one of those idiots who will try compare Floyd-JMM/Pac-JMM or Pac-Clottey/Floyd-Mosley.

How do we know he hasn't agreed to an even split (as a last resort)? Lobbying for 60/40 could be a ploy to get more than what he bargained for. That's smart business if you ask me. You always want to ask for more in case you get lucky.

Beating Pac would make Floyd an even bigger draw? Really? Can you guarantee me if Floyd is victorious I won't hear any crap like, "Floyd was supposed to win against a smaller man who was blood drained. He didn't do anything special."?? If (that's a big IF) Floyd bypasses Pac and ends up fighting Paul Williams and beats him, Floyd not only makes at least $20 mil but shuts up a lot of critics. Therefore he can afford to reject Pac and still stand to gain a lot.

I think there are tell-tale signs Floyd loves to play mind games with the fans. He went from stalling contract signing with Mosley to unofficially retiring to being difficult with his current negotiation. He's probably laughing as we speak.

I just assumed he was already thinking about putting a huge bet on himself. It's Floyd!
