So, W.Klitschko has to bend over backwards to make a fight with Haye but Mayweather gets away with demanding 60-40 plus other terms like Drug Testing?!?

    Crazy world we live in.

If Tyson and Ali fought in the same era, and shared common opponents, and Ali for the life of him could NEVER out draw Tyson? Yes. Tyson outdrew Ali.

It is only "dumb and subjective" because you choose the path of ignorance.

It depends what the number say.

Neither of the Klitschkos should do anything to make the fight with Haye unless the numbers dictate so. If he wants it? Come get it. They can keep fighting Euro and American bums cleaning up in Germany. They shouldn't have to even take 50% purses unless Haye can prove himself a consistent earner at HW.

The only reasonable request Haye can make is for OSDT. Haye, IMHO, hasn't proven himself a consistent earner at HW.

Hey man that is how all sporting events should do contracts. Call it a "wager bonus". Pay them all crap then have them bet for or against themselves in Vegas! :blood

Tyson outdrew ali when ali was being watched by millions more people???

    Sorry, no.

More people watched Ali fight than any fighter in the history of boxing.

stupid ass. show me an accurate system where we can show exactly how much floyd and pac draw as individuals. show me irefutable data just like how we have measured gravity to be 9.81 m/s2.

Common opponents, PPV numbers etc....until you find a way to make this an exact science then stop replying to this post because we can go forever with this ****.

If you continue to sway this in foyds way then you are a *****.
If you still can't see that 60-40 purse split in a fragile negotiation is not over the top then you are a *****.

If any indication of floyd's drawing power exists, it is this:

Floyd and oscar, with oscar on the a-side drew 2.4

Floyd and hatton, with floyd on the a-side drew .85

Ok then let's try and make it as objective as possible. Compare Pac and Floyd's respective fights against Hatton. Both Pac and Floyd had already reached mainstream by the time they fought Hatton. Who came out with the bigger earnings? The difference was about 70K more buys than what Pac accomplished doing business with the same popular fighter Floyd fought.

He who is the bigger draw gets the lion's share. Isn't that how it works in Boxing? I don't necessarily think it's the best way to conduct business. But throughout history that's how things have been handled. Why try and change it? If I have a problem with it I can watch a different sport. But I choose to accept it because there will always be a protocol no matter who or what you're dealing with. It's definitely within reason as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, but hatton already had an L, so some of the luster was gone.

you do remember the atmosphere when floyd and hatton fought don't you? both were undefeated and everyone was keeping an eye on for this fight. seriously, what if it were pac who fought hatton first? i'm not saying pac-hatton generates more. we don't know for sure but that would be a good train of thought.
