I see great things from Cotto this yr. after he beats Clottey in July and goes to defeat his next opponent later on this fall or winter. Either way he will have great yr. and force Mayweather to fight him by next yr. Yup, that's what it's gonna take to get mayweather in the ring with him. But yea Cotto is gonna beat Clottey, Berto, or Pacquao, whichever one fights him. He already beat Mosley so it doesn't make sense to do that again when he already proved he could beat him. But all the critics in here, make sure you pull this thread up when cleans out the welterweight division.
this year is going to be the real test to cotto to see if he is recoverd from his loss beating a c class fighter was'nt to impressive ima huge cotto fan but him beating jennings in 5 rounds didnt convince me enough that he is back to the old miguel if he gets past clottey then i can say that cotto is back
I see him beating all three names you mentioned. PBF is going to go after the winner of Pac/Hatton for the big bucks. Cotto....Big bucks....Big bucks win. If Cotto can generate enough wins and fans shouting for example Cotto taking on the winner of PBF vs Hatton/Pac, it could happen. It will give PBF that money fighting the little guys and then he can proof himself with a true WW. Mosley will have something else to say about all of this so watch out for GBP.
I'm pulling for Cotto to have a big year. If he gets past Clottey he should be in line for a big money fight whether it's Mosley or the Hatton-Pac winner. If he keeps winning then Mayweather will eventually start looking his way.
for sure if he beats clottey that is an amazing win if he manages it, clottey is number 3 at welter in my book you would have to give mad props to cotto as the main man at welter without a doubt
Your right, it is not going to be a walk in the park. I feel that he will find a way to beat him and move forward. If he loses......
I'd think that Cotto would want to fight Mosley again. Mosley has the belt that was Cotto's. I like Cotto, but I don't see him beating Mosley again, and definitely don't see him beating Floyd.
