Did anybody read Freddie Roach's statement about Mayweather?

He basically said Mayweathers legs are shot, thats why he fought Mosley the way he did, he went on to say Mosley got old over night.

The truth is Mayweather adapted his style to fight Mosley, by standing in front of him and waiting until the inferior boxer made a mistake and then countered him repeatedly. All the while giving him a healthy dose of jabs to snack on in between mistakes.

Its not that Mosley got old and slow overnight. The fact is when you fight a thinker like Mayweather, you are forced to become a thinker. When you are forced to think all your actions are calculated, which makes you slower because you are thinking rather than reacting. This is true with most sports.

When you are a reactor rather than a thinker when you fight Mayweather, he uses his timing and accurate counter punching to make you start to become a thinker, after that the whole process repeats.

Mayweather had an answer for everything Mosley did. So Mosley had to think on the go, which made him APPEAR slower. The fact is he was fighting into May's hands.
Mayweather makes you think, it doesn't matter that another fighter throws more punches or is faster or hits harder, he slows you down and curbs your punch output by making you think.

What makes Mayweather so dangerous, is that he has the boxing mind of a Bernard Hopkins the shear athletic ability of a Roy Jones jr, with the punching accuracy of the likes that we have never seen.

He will be tough to beat.

Mayweather fights smart but his greatest asset is his instincts. That's where his timing comes from, knowing a split second ahead what the othe rguy will do and then having the reflex, speed and ability to counter that.

You never know with Roach though. I believe you're 100% correct, but Roach my actually believe that too. I really doubt he's as dismissive about Floyd as he says he is. He better hope he's not, or Manny is going to get schooled.

I will admit, I really hate this fvcker but here he showed something I have not seen before. He showed that he can be likeable and has good charisma. He is a great all around fighter but sometimes is afraid of proving it and taking on real challenges. Boxers like Devon Alexander, ODLH, Mosley etc., with FM talent won't doubt to take on anyone. I don't get it why he can't be the same. If most of us can see that no one on the 140-154lbs can beat him, why can't he see it?

Did you ever notice how when it comes to how he breaks fighters down, he's get substantial evidence and points out real flaws about fighters. but when it comes to Floyd, he's lingering on the fact may took two shots, and didnt run, hoping that his legs are shot. Even when they entered their first negotiations all he could say is may doesnt have manny's workrate so he'll lose. thats obvious just because floyd slows the world down in the ring, not cuz he's lazy. but i have yet to hear from roach what he REALLY thinks about fighting floyd
