Haye is an unskilled clubber. he was never going to fight like that.

He would need a lot more than Adam Booth and his ego to fight like that...just didnt have the tools

Nice films Joe E of My favorite heavyweight, the beloved Joe Louis, against Buddy Baer, who had a great ko record and in my opinion would have whipped Klitschko. Buddy Baer was big, brave ,could throw powerful flurries ,and sailed into the powerful fists of the greatest combination puncher of all-time. Louis, NEVER waisted a punch as shown here...Cheers..

Except Buddy Baer is about 7 echelons lower than Wlad. Lot of experts coming out of the woodwork with sterling advice that I am sure has never been uttered before...

S, I'm no expert, and Im not coming out of the woodwork as you so graciously implied. So Buddy Baer who knocked out 47 opponents in 58 fights, was "7echelons" lower than Wladimir ? Aside from Baer's 2 fights with the prime immortal Joe Louis, have you seen films of Buddy Baer ?
I think not, but aside from the unbeatable Brown Bomber, who incidentally
would have annihilated the robotic Wladimir, inside the wooden Klitschko,
S, you have little true knowledge of Buddy Baer. He is forgotten today because of Joe Louis, and being the younger brother of the charismatic Max Baer. Who S, did Klitschko beat that was better than Buddy Baer at his best.?Answer no one ! Baer was no David Haye or Areola, he was as big as Wladimir, was faster, hit as hard or harder, punched faster ,and traded punches, unlike the safety first Klitschko. Baer would have traded punches with Wladimir willingly, and would have gotten the best of Wladimir IMO.
WK is on top now because the heavyweight division is at it's lowest ebb..
Shades of Louis,Ali, Liston, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson,Marciano, who would
have gotten under of the jab of WK, and would have outfought him...Cheers.

Buddy was not faster than Wlad, at leasdt not with one punch, Klitschko´s jab, right hand and left hook are also miles better, as is his footwork and defence. Wlad beat a few guys that IMO are at least as good as B. Baer, most probably better, Byrd, Chagaev, Ibragimov, Chambers. Sorry, Burt but you underrate Wlad here a bit. He is noe Joe Louis for sure but he would have beaten B. Baer similarly impressive, but in a more boring fight.
Give the guy credit for what he is doing. Dominating an era. Yeah, it´s weak but so were the 20s, late 50s/early 60s, the late 70s and the 80s. Still, Demspey, Patterson, Liston, Holmes and Tyson are seen as atgs for what they did there. Same should count for Wlad. Yes, he does look boring and robotic but he absolutly dominates his opponents with his style. He is a huge boxer-puncher with one of the best jabs the division has seen so far - IMO only Holmes´and Listons´s come close and not even Ali´s or Louis´ are as good - very good footwork and speed for his size and he can KO you with either hand at any time during a fight. IMO he eats everyone who trys to box or counterpunch who isn´t just league´s above him - like Joe Louis or Muhammad Ali - he also beats most punchers simply by beeing able of keeping them at bay with his jab. His only weakness are high pressure figters who can get under his jab and counter him when necessary - like Dempsey, Marciano, Tyson - and even those have a hard time because he is so f*cking big.
At top of that he is a nice and intelligent fella who is never involved in any BS, like Tyson, is very dedicated, unlike Bowe, is always respectful and doesn´t trashtalk - even Haye didn´t get much out of him. Sure he isn´t the savior of the hw division, let alone boxing, he is not someone who catches the imagination of people - even so he gets the admiration he deserves in Germany and Eastern Europe - he doesn´t have the flamboyance of Ali or aura of Tyson but he is an excellent hw who dominates his era. And he will go down in the history books as one of the hw atgs.

The Klitschkos, in my opinion, have been a welcome change of pace since they came on the scene. they don't trashtalk, indulge in stupid, embarrassing thuggish type behavior, and as for their styles...well that's fine with me also..part of being a boxing fan is to appreciate the scientific, defensive side of the sport..to0 some of the denizens of these forums, evrybody has to be a rock 'em-sock 'em, Gatti type of slugger. Wlad knows what he's doing, and has regrouped gradually over the years..since the Sanders and Brewster debacles into quite a finished product..and will no doubt preserve a sizable number of his brain cells in the process.

B, maybe I am too harsh on WK. I will say this for him. At age 35 he is in great shape, and surprisingly moves around for a big fellow. His negatives is his inability to trade punches, his lack of uppercuts and body punches
and reluctance to engage with an opponent, which is unusual for a big strong guy.I too like his modest and astute personality which is refreshing in this era of glitz and trash talk...As far as Buddy Baer goes,he was better than you or most posters give him credit for. He was BIG and aside from his two films with the PRIME Brown Bomber, most posters degrade his true
abilities. He did stop Galento,Simon and 45 other heavyweights of his time. Watch a snippet of Buddy Baer attacking Joe Louis with a flurry of punches, with surprising speed for a big fellow ! I still believe that BB would
have sailed into WK aggressively and fearlessly, and beaten WK.,who
wouldn't have the advantage of size to hold the fearless hard punching
Buddy Baer off. And I agree with you that a strong swarming type as a Dempsey [he loved the big boys], Frazier, Tyson, and a host of other
fast and TOUGH heavyweights, would have gotten in under WKs jab and
with short inside punches wrecked havoc with Wladimir. He cannot hold these guys off forever, and will be tagged and hurt. But he is by far the best of a poor crop of heavyweights today. B, cheers...

Baer and Simon are several levels below Klitschko as technical boxers, there jabs are comparatively pitiful, Louis doesn't really have to get past a jab so it's a poor example, I could see Haye comfortably beating both of them too. Louis also had allot of problems getting past jabs and counter punchers so he is a bad example to use, Tyson is much better technically at fighting tall big men as is Holyfield

    10 echelons better?
