    Duly noted

My concern on Carnera comes from all the allegations of mafia involvement and fight fixing surrounding his career. Thus, even Carnera's biggest victory, against Sharkey, comes with an asterisk.

We wil probably never know the full truth; thus I was just asking if all things considered, Carnera could qualify as a world class opponent and be a 100% good example of how fighting a bigger man :yep

Joe Louis was a complete product of his era, excellently taught, balance, power and speed...he would have dominated in any era...as far as being a heavyweight today with the size and firepower of the Louis/Marciano Era's that size fighter is usually a blown up middleweight because of weight training and Heavyweights of Louis's height are usually in the 230-240 range so the balance has been tampered with, also the 15rd fighter no longer exists so the conditioning has waned in modern fighters except the Klitschko's...Haye had the talent in speed and power but did not know how to execute and the teachers that taught the brown bomber no longer exist
