This was why nobody wanted to watch Rigo in the ring anymore. He's boring as hell.

Certain fighters you just can’t hold. Like Spence.

It was theatrical and smart from Loma. It creates pressure on the ref.

Tyson used to launch mid range attacks as a counter to holding tactics. He knew if he got too close, opponents would just hold him which is why he started to figure out the right spacing to jump in with the hook, right hand where the opponent will not immediately think about holding.

Loma called a judge before the fight to show him how he was going to do that stuff :D

the reason why loma was so effective from stoping the holding was cause he is 2 wc higher then him and much taller. Believe me if it would be that easy people would have stopped WK from spamming that.

A punch which is always awkward for people who try and hold, is a lead uppercut. Works every time if you know how to create space for it. As they go to lean on you, shuffle back, shift your weight and bang, line them up with it.

Just knowing how to infight is an extremely underrated skill in today's game. If you can consistently get close, in irregular patterns, you know how to control your opponent, and land good punches, you'll do well. Basic infighting knowledge is rare nowadays, but it's brilliant to watch and extremely fun to do (obviously, IMO).

It doesnt matter very much when you are 2 wholes weights above your oponent. Right? He could afford it.

I didnt see him trying to do anything not even remotely similar to teofimo.

Stupid way to waste your energies just waiting for the referee to help you and just because you are such a weight bully in that fight that you can afford it.

You wont see any top fighter doing that very often. Because it's a mistake. Do it like that for 6 rounds, and your oponent will not have even to punch you, you will fall to the canvas by pure exhaustion.

Could you imagine a guy like kovalev doing that for 6 rounds vs ward? he would be sleeping on the canvas in 3.

Actually, when someone is grabbing like that, what he hopes is that you are such an idiot to do that, to struggle, to wrestle, to push, to pull.... to deplete. And that's why you try to put as much of your weight as possible on your oponent when you grab, so that when your oponent does like that, he wastes even more energy. In 5 rounds, RIP.

Ofc, I repeat, if you weight 2 whole weights more than your opoenent, yes, you can do that, who cares? right?

You can link a video of joshua pushing canelo back, and set the title "that's how you get off a clinch".

What we are watching there is not the right way of handling a clinch attempt. What we are watching there is a disgusting weight difference.

And if you wonder what's the right way of handling this situation is by using the upper when the grabber comes in (or the hook to the body) and to try to set your weight on top of his if he is successful in the clinch. That's what you will see every top notch fighter doing (as long as they are not 2 whole weights above his oponent, probably joshua would not do that vs canelo as I said)

And if you wonder why I am so mad is because we had the opportunity to have a fight between 2 legends at a fair catchweight, and instead of that, and because one of them was the most coward piece of **** on earth, what we had was a disgusting weight abuse in the ring.

And for those of you who will answer that sLowmo is not a coward piece of ****, just spare it, and go watch the feofimo fight. Go watch his (lack of) guts, he's still waiting for the right moment to start the fight.

Teo will look far worse at 147 than Loma vs Teo and he will get KOed out cold in this division sooner or later.
Also Teo will have far less physical advantages vs fighters like Linares, Campbell, Garcia at 135 lbs than he had vs Loma.

After 12 title fights here most likely will appear posts like Slowo Lopez when he will have 10 title fights at 140 lbs.

Till today it looks nice and Lopez as some super talent with better skills than Rigo, Loma etc.

All this process just will take time and we will conversate after years why Lopze looked like a **** when lost close fight, why Lopez had been KOed and TKOed.

All this is waiting him and his fans.
