It's pretty allright considering I haven't nearly worked with it at all, I think. Next thing is ground fighting! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pwjdfNtI40 [YT]7pwjdfNtI40[/YT]
you should definetly join a muy thai gym. no offense but you are going to pick up some bad habits practiciing like that
I've been taught the basic mechanics of kicking from an MMA fighter and yours look fine. Kicks definitely don't take near as long as punches, in terms of developing skill. On your roundhouse kick (back leg) you want to twist your hips, pivot your front foot and keep your hands up (I noticed on a few kicks you let your hands fly loose). The straight kicks looked good.
ingar i really encourage you to join a kickboxing gym. your kicks arent bad but you will learn bad habits. just practice your hands. and definetly join your HS wrestling team.
Try kick with your shins in round kicks. When you throw a combo you usually must end it with a low kick or a kick to head or chest. If your opponent uses his hands more use your legs and vice versa. There are a lot of exercises to strethen your legs to be able to take a good low kick. Also you should try to use your whole bodyweight like punches. Not bad for beginner. You have physical potential but you have a lot of training to do if you are seriously about kickboxing. PS I noticed that they are confusing here kickboxing with full contact a lot. Those are different sports. In full contact you kick above waist in kick boxing you also use low kicks which are a very powerful weapon especially if you train your legs properly. Anyway nice job. Keep up the good work. Impressive as always!
