Would the greatest heavyweight of all time lose his title by KO unless he was a shadow of his former self?

Marciano, Ali and Louis (who I think is over-rated) were never counted as champions.

In Marciano and Ali's case they were never counted out at all.

What would Lewis do if he were afforded Marciano's soft schedule?

    He'd probably still be champion.

The one where he fought regional club opponents for the first 2/3 of his career and then stepped into a weak transitional era for the division that was populated by blownup lightheavies and geriatrics. I guess that is what I met.

blownup light heavies? The heavyweights today are considerably bigger than those of Lewis's era. If your going to rag on Marciano for fighting little guys its equally fair to penalize Lewis for the lack of quality big men.

Lewis never faced a wold class opponent as heavy as Joe Joyce or as tall as Ivan Dychko for example. Aside from maybe Vitali his world class opponents would be considered small today with Vitali around average weight-wise.

Actually, they couldn't say any of those things.

In an interview prior to the Wilder-Fury fight Lewis freely admitted that the sheer size of heavies today would pose problems for him.

Strange, considering he's much bigger than Wilder and bigger than Fury by a nontrivial Margin. If Fury had the same body fat as Norton or Holyfield he'd weigh about 225 or 230, and as for height, there has been absolutely NO statistically significant fluctuation in developed nations over the last 25 years, and indeed far less than most people think over the last 100.

Sure they could, because its a fact. Heavies today are significantly bigger than in Lewis's day.

Fury usually fights in the 250s and 260s, Lewis was very rarely over 250 so he is significantly lighter, Fury is also taller

Nope. You have neither sufficient sample size nor a causal mechanism to make that determination. This will go badly for you, I promise.

Heavyweights in the top 10 being taller and heavier is fact. Don't need a bigger sample size.

Tell a statistician that you don't need N>10. You'll make his day.

Were talking about the divisions elite, has nothing to do with statisticians whatsoever, their opinions are totally irrelevant.

You need to watch the full video to understand his rating at number 3 in the historical list and his position as number 1 head to head.
