Hunter is (was?) good - but not elite.

Likely past tense, but he was extremely talented, if not very aesthetically pleasing.

Bakole win was not a fluke on Martin's side. Hunter knows what he is doing with shades of Peralta, Young, and Byrd in his game.

The most motivated I've seen Parker look in about 5 years. The question mark is If Parker will be able to stay motivated, active, and in proper condition once the next giant payday comes.

I don't mind the Zhang fight actually, it's not unwinnable given Zhang's age, Parker's chin and movement. If it goes the distance Parker will edge most of the late rounds on activity.

Get popped for PEDs and then make a gloried comeback, only to be dropped by a boxing debutant.

    Solid plan

Not only am I happy for him, I am happy for you as a fan. He is a gent and a good fighter, but I was very critical on him during a long period where it seemed that he just didn't care. I am glad to see he is having a return and I honestly thing he is the #3 heavy in the world, as Fury is done and no one else has a comparable resume.

I wouldn't mind seeing him against any of the top 10 personally, I think even a fight with Zhang is winnable. Zhang has a suspect tank unlike Joyce and Parker has the chin to extend Zhang into 2nd half of the fight.

FTR: I have heard that Zhang is about 18 months younger than his published age. Chinese boxing officials wanted him to get amateur experience early in the hope that he'd be ready for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Apparently this was discovered and that was why there was a two-year gap in his international experience lasting from 2003-2005.

Just a rumor. But it wouldn't absolutely shock me if it's true.
