I couldn't even be bothered to score the fight after that cut opened. It wasn't smart for Cotto to continue, he basically got beaten up for a lot of the remaining rounds.

Damn Clottey and that oversized, teak constructed head with jagged edges. He just can't seem to not bloody head butt people.

Good fight in parts though - very strange overall... very strange.

You think a rematch is warranted?

I'm not too sure if I want to see it. Clottey just can't keep that ****ing head away from his opponent. I wouldn't be suprised if it just ended in a bloody mess again.

I had the feeling that if Cotto wasn't cut he would have caught Clottey with something big and eventually Clottey would have been dazed/exposed long enough for Miguel to send him down.

I think you need to STFU and post in the right forum. That is all.

A rematch would not be in Cotto's best interests..his management should steer him onward and upward to the top, vs Pac, Mayweather and above all a vindication rematch with Margarito.

Fight could have gone either way altough I thought Clottey did enough.

Cotto is a warrior and doesn't stop fights.

If fighters rematched until all the clowns on ESB were happy with the result then some boxers would only get through 4 different opponents in their entire career.

The only part that freaked me out is when Cotto was making out with his kid for 5 full seconds or so.

I take it you didn't read my quote from the second post. However, in this case a rematch is totally needed.

It should, but it won't happen. Clottey isn't a big draw and Cotto is looking for a big paycheck. We'll probably see Cotto/Pacquiao next, Arum really wants this fight.

My take on the fight. Cotto as mentioned is a warrior for not getting it stopped after the 4th when he was ahead on the cards.

Clottey dominated the middle rounds with the exception of the 6th which might have went down as a 10-8 in alot of peoples books to Cotto.

Cotto made the adjustment in the last 3 rounds, boxed clever and stole the last 3 rounds. Question marks over why Clottey didn't go after him more in the last 3 rounds, was he tired? did he think he was miles ahead? or was Cotto's adjustment too much for him to work out~?

the controversy~ The clash of heads was an accident, and infact it didn't even look like a hard knock. Clottey for me was play acting, and trying to get point deductions from Cotto, the push was nothing, yet he went down like a sack of tatties and no way was his knee injured, He needs to learn how to limp when he's feigning injury. The lowblow was borderline, and the punch to the back of the head was as much clottey turning away as Cotto was throwing anyway.

Personally I think Cotto scraped a tight decision, No way was it 116-111, but by 1 or 2. If Clottey wins one of the last 3 he either gets a draw or wins imo.

I would be happy with a rematch, but I Think last night was Clotteys chance and he blew it.
