This is the quietest Vitali has been since returning to boxing

    His fights since returning and duration between each:

    Peter
    Gomez (5 months after Peter)
    Arreola (6 months after Gomez)
    Johnson (less than 3 months after Arreola)
    Sosnowski (5 months after Johnson)
    Briggs (5 months after Sosnowski)
    Solis (5 months after Briggs)
    Adamek (6 months after Solis)
    Chisora (5 months after Adamek)
    Charr (7 months after Chisora)

    So he's been pretty active and averages around 5 months between fights. However, seeing that his last fight was in September and it's now nearly March and there has been virtual silence for 6 months, I think we may be able to interpret that he's thinking seriously about retirement. Either that, or he's too busy with his political carrer.

    It seems the end is probably very close for Vitali. Thoughts? Does anyone think he has one 'great' performance left in him?

    I think after the fight with Charr he knows he is not in his prime anymore. But maybe he thinks it is still enough.... But he has to fight a big name in his last fight! There is no point in fighting a B-class fighter! Then it would be better he does not fight an stops boxing!
    Also he need to say something! It is not fair that he says nothing and his fans are waiting and other contenders dont know if they can fight him or not!

    Maybe he gets tired of beating everyone? Whether is Haye or some nobody, he's simply going to win.

    There's a lot of people, including yourself, on this forum with agendas for certain fighters - it goes beyond rational thinking and just descends into biased and outrageous claims (ie - 'klittards' '*****s' '*******s' and whatever others)

    i think he is busy at the moment in politics, he was probably waiting for the areola fight winner, but now that's not taking place.

    I think he definitely doesn't want to fight Haye, he would have said something by now. I think he will probably be fighting one last time maybe in August September or Nov time.

    I don't think he will be fighting in Summer time, there hasnt been any negotiations that i am aware of.

    Vitali will fight Bobby Czyz and claim to be great and dominant and "at the top of his game."

    I think it is a combination of age and his ambitions outside of boxing. Personally, I'd rather see him move on with his life than hang around waiting to get clipped. Many an old fighter has lost to a guy a younger version would have beaten.
