@dangerousity, you don't categorize all of Floyd's fans the same dumb azz dude. or dudette!! I am definitely one of Floyd's fans; but in no way am I a Floydette as you like to say. Everybody have a favorite fighter and because I like Floyd's style and skills you are putting me and everyone of his fans in the same category. You really sound ignorant and stupid to say the least. Floyd is the best fighter during this time bar none! He would school Manny or Cotto! Now on the other hand Sugar Ray Robinson would have knocked him out early. I wouldn't pick Floyd against many of the greats in the past. Sugar Ray Leonard would be my favorite to beat him. But the prime Zab Judahs and Shane Mosleys of the world would have all lost to a prime Floyd. So get your facts straight the next time you post dudette because you are not too dangerous behind a computer. lmao
Uhh if you said Johnson I wouldnt know who the hell you were talking about either. How many johnsons have there been. When he clarified jack johnson he knew exactly who he was talking about
Actually, I think the Hate he got when he was coming through the ranks was what made him into what he is now with regards to coveting his 0. If he did lose a fight then all of sudden he is exposed and he was never a great fighter in the first place. People didnt think this way 20 years ago but the short termist attitude of fans these days make fighters a lot more cautious in making fights and how they fight. For example Haye last weekend. Haye has always been an explosive, exiting scrapper. But with everything on the line he couldnt possibly have even considered losing that fight because the hate would have been crazy. Lets say Floyd lost to Mosley tonight. By Monday he would be an overrated and exposed protected cherry picker. Not saying that justifies being cautious in the ring or ducking fighters, just saying fans dont help the situation.
Thats because dangerosity is a ****ing idiot. there is not one Floyd fan that agrees with what Floyd is saying here, or think hes the greatest of all time. Me, Scar, eze, not one. Maybe Fitsgerald would say something like that maybe. They cant beat us in any boxing argument about Floyds skills or career, so they have to make **** up.
When he said Johnson in a conversation of all time greats the only Johnson that came to my mind was Jack. Who else can be classified as an ATG named Johnson? Goldeen Johnson?
A big Co-sign on that one LSomefun. Sugar Ray Robinson was and will always be the greatest of all times. He don't have anyone close to him in terms of fighting skills, experience, toughness of era and so forth. There will never be another Sugar Ray. In fact; had Robinson fought Archie Moore in 1959 when they almost signed to fight, I would have given it to Robinson to beat him. Robinson to this day remains the most gifted fighter ever.
So.............. Before Mayweather beat Hatton, Hatton was the goat as he was unbeaten and had more fights than "money"
floyd is the best of his era and that means the last 10 years. a fighters era depending on how good they are can last anywhere from 10-20 years. leaonard was the best of the 80's roy best of the 90's floyd best of 2000's if floyd remained unbeaten until 2012 then that would be two decades of dominance and that has never been done before..roy came clos losing in 2004 to tarver
****, he could have meant Glen Johnson, who more relevant to whos the greatest of all tme then Jack Johnson a guy who fought 100 years ago. Only Bert Sugar would say some **** like that.
I love how confused he was when he learned there was another Sugar Ray besides Leonard. atsch He didn't know ****.
floyd's a fraud, he's only pretending to be the best. it's a masquerade. Until he stops making excuses, stops ducking and dodging and mans up and actually fights and beats the best - Cotto, Pac, Mosley - he aint nothing but a fraud who has duped many fools into buying into his smoke and mirror skills which only pay the bills when the opponent is handpicked.
He is hated because he's young, rich, black , talented and arrogant. This has been the history of the black athelete, it not just in boxing but all sports. Boxing: Jack Johnson. (Black and arrogant made him hated) Baseball: Barry Bonds. (please don't bring up steroids, they hated him before that) Football: T.O, Chad Ochoconco, etc. They all are rich, good, young, black and arrogant.
