ryan rhodes, david haye, khan and even to a lesser degree froch all make for decent viewing. If it's the upright stereotypical stance you dislike I can see where you are coming from as some fighters just seem one dimensional as they never transition from tall upright boxing to bent knees or shell throughout the fight. The thing with fighters like calzaghe was the ability to adapt throughout a fight.
Can we get a definitive list of active British fighters sporting textbox technique, offensive variety, with a little bit of class about them. ...I have huge adoration for the likes of Buchanan and Conteh.
My response would be don't watch british fighters if you seldom enjoy watching them. why put yourself through the pain and torture?
What do you want? A ****ing biscuit? Why make a thread about this in the British forum where people clearly have an interest/fondness for British boxing, and enjoy watching our boxers?
Depends entirely on what type of biscuit we're talking here. I do enjoy bourbons a great deal. You've just stated that you enjoy watching "our" boxers, and I've made this thread to say the opposite. I've never thought of individual fighters representing their countries, it's the same reason I probably resent Pacquiao's often outlandish fan base. I'm not a patriotic guy so I'm comfortable with telling both myself and you guys that seldom have I seen a high quality boxing match played out involving two British combatants. I could be making a compelling argument regarding the talent pool in this country, or you could be feeding the troll. I didn't vote, either.
