I'm saying that as a nation, we have some of the best Snookers players around, but we don't produce much in terms of British talent in the fight game.

Well no offence, but it is easier to become a top snooker player than a top boxer. Plus the fact that snooker isn't exactly a world wide sport (UK and China are the only countries who have a biggish interest in the sport and China only got involved in it recently), so there isn't the same levels of competition.

We have lots of talented fighters coming through; Groves, Gavin, DeGale, S Smith, Joe Murray, Quigg, Frampton, Saunders, Price, Bellew, A Sexton...all top prospects.

Haye, Khan and Froch on the world stage.

Rhodes, Munroe, Mitchell, Burns and Macklin will all be looking for a shot at a 'world' title this year.

Cleverly, Brook, McCloskey, Murray, McEwan, Magee, Lindsay, Booth are just behind the aforementioned fighters and will be looking at trying to get a shot at a 'world' title this year-next year.

Enzo, Afolabi and Witter will be trying to re-establish themselves as contenders.

Napa, Webb, Sykes, Barker, Daws, Chisora, Sexton, Daws, Small, Crolla, Simpson, Hall, McDonnell, Limond, Watson, Vassell, Smith, O'Donnell...etc. are all quality domestic operators as well.

If you want to be naive and ignore the talent we have then so be it, but British boxing is looking very bright right now :good

He likes crisp bodypunching as much as I do. I know what you mean, though. Not quite world class skills.

I enjoy watching David Haye and Carl Froch, I think Khan has world class ability also. I can't properly explain myself here admittedly, but I just have this nag about British talent. It's like if they are knockout artists then they are fragile, if they granite chins, they don't have the good punching form to accompany it. I think on the grand scale of things, our fighters are generally lackluster with the few exceptions. It's nice to see only a select few of you took this as a personal slight on the Union Jack.

Buckland was game as hell. Hats off to him.
