Its a bit unfair to compare Louis to a man 5 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier than him isnt it?

 

Na, Valuev is ****, but Willard was ****ing useless. Watching him take nearly 30 rounds to get rid of a near 40 year old Johnson was board like pathetic.

He did have a big heart tho. Dempsey literally kicked **** out of him, but he kept getting up

To be fair Abe Simon, Buddy Baer and Primo Carnera are 5 levels below Wlad.

 

Not five levels (not Canera anyway) and besides, the fact is Louis showed he could deal with them. That also wasn't your original point.

 

Aye, I should have added, that Louis never dealt with a big man with Wlads skills. I think Louis was a better fighter than Wlad, with a better resume, but I stay clear of matching fighters where there is a huge size diffference. Some matchups over on classic go beyond the ridiculous.

 

Well he showed that he could deal with size. He can land on Wlad, Wlad can land on him. It could go either way (a trusted and reliable source has told us that Wlad hits the hardest if any Heavyweight, and not Manny Steward) but I dont think this is a ludicrous matchup to predict at all.

Just to confirm, you know Dempsey didn't have doctored wraps or a horseshoe in his glove don't you? ;-)

 

Louis was born for this sport, Wladimir would be flinching as methodical bombs laid siege to him.

 

A fair point but it must also be noted that Lamon Brewster, Samuel Peter and Ross Purrity are 500 levels below Joe.
