Jeff is quoted in the ESB artile. ESB: If you were in a fight that was called a draw, would you be in favor of fighting an extra round to settle things? Lacy: You must be kidding. If they call a draw, that's the fight. If you want to see more, pay me for another fight. Is that clear Enough for you? A lot of today's fighters only care about the money. no heart, no drive to make history, no respect just money. Any fighter who would settle for a ****ing draw unless they get paid more is a damn chump.
Very stupid response. If it's a draw you don't need another round. It means you've been ****ing up in some shape or form since the start. It means you didn't do what was necessary to seperate you from your opponent and thus failed yourself and the fans. He should have said that or he would want an immediate rematch. A thirteenth round doesn't define anything. It could still be another even round. IF a fight is a draw, it just means on that night they reached a stalemate. It happens.
heres some news flash Lacy most boxing fans wouldnt pay to watch you fight at all,anymore...is that clear enough for you? ......damn that was pretty good, its a shame he will never read it
How do you know :yep Good fighters come here regulary, boxing is their life and ofcourse they want to see what the fans thinks :hey
If there is one thing Jeff Lacy has, it's heart...you don't go all 12 taking a beating for 36 minutes straight and then go 10 rounds with a torn rotator cuff. Good response by Lacy...if a fight is a draw, its a draw.
Well, i think he is right. If a fight is ruled a draw, then thats the fight. We dont need more ways for contreversy.
And fighters in the old days didn't care a lot about money? At least Lacy is honest, and is willing to take on tough opposition.
