    His 50th fight.

The showtime deal will be his 49th fight/win.

What is better than to sign a HUGE MONEY MAKING 1 fight deal to the highest bidder, with the guy everyone has wanted him to face his whole career, and in a big 50 milestone retirement fight.

It's painfully obvious he is going to have a 1 fight deal for his 50th fight, and will be his last fight.

Why risk his legacy when all he wanted to do was be undefeated? The guys heart rate reaches 190bpm everytime someone mentions pac, just imagine what it be inside the same ring.

Ive often thought Floyd would fight him as his last fight. He knows pac gets worse over time, he knows people will still pay lots of money to see it, he knows that the general boxing community would forget in 20-30 years that he outwaited Pac.

Well, I think his reasoning throughout his career is, if he fights someone really tough and loses, his future fights won't make as much money.

Now my reasoning is, if it's gonna be his last fight, with no future endeavors in the ring planned, why not fight Pac. It's gonna make him the most money, and it won't matter that much if he loses. (I am in the boat that he knows he has to fight him to cement a good legacy)

It's a very shrewd move by Floyd if it happens. Its a win win situation for him. To be honest this makes so much sense that it will probably happen. This fight will generate a LOT of money and will bring in so many casuals that it's unbelievable. Also there is even less chance that Floyd will lose his 0 now as he will face a more shop worn version of Pac. Not that he wouldn't have beaten him a few years ago, but this becomes less risky with time. Floyd's style can allow him to box a few years more no probs, but not so much Pac who needs to retire soon.

What a shame that Team Pacman ran away from the fight when it mattered most. They really screwed us as fans.

Honestly, Floyd is old news now. It's all about Vasyl Lomachenko.
Floyd is going to continue to fight opposition we know for sure that he'll beat, and will fight Pacquiao as an end of an era fight (it won't be a legacy fight by that time) as Pacquiao will be pretty shot and Mayweather will be relatively past prime.

Vasyl when fully adjusted will be better than Mayweather.

Health comes first, the Ali comments, and have to leave Arum, were the reasons that pretty much seal this fight from happening.
