    OK,

I caught up with a few pals I havent seen in a while and we watched the Garcia card last night.

These boys are more football and rugby , but will watch the big fights , Mayweather etc.

After having watched both the Malik Scott Dive and the clear Robbery in the Garcia fight, they all slammed boxing as a corrupt sport that is in the gutter and will not watch these kind of bills again.

Now if this is happening to sports fans, what must it be like for joe average ?????

Its one thing building up a fighter , its another to rip the fans off. I dont see fans getting ripped off in any other sport only in boxing , sure there is the odd bad judge in the gymnastics at the Olympics, but overall the winner is correct.

In boxing the amount of robberies , home town decisions and complete frauds is just too much.

    peace.

Scott quit, just like Ortiz did. Both guys felt the power early and did not have in them to continue.

How the **** do you know exactly how hard he got hit? :patsch
It´s not like you took it from Wilder. Scott got hurt, went down from the right hand that pushed him off balance a bit and decided that was it.

I don't blame people for not watching anymore, they can go see a movie or a play and get the same results.

These boxing mafia cronies should be locked up.

Malik Scott didn't take a Dive. Wilder's left hand is what made him dive. The reason why boxing isn't mainstream anymore is because of people like you that do thing but discredit new rising stars accomplishments. And calling them bums, overrated and is always complaining about rigging fights because the fighter they're rooting for didn't win. :verysad

I think the real reason that boxing doesn't do as well as Football, Baseball, and Basketball in the US is because the stars only fight one to three times a year. Historically, whenever the top talents in the world fight on regular television they get the same kind of ratings as the other mainstream sports. If you are a fan of Football your team plays 12 games a year. If you are a fan of basketball your favorite team/players play 82 times a year. Baseball teams play 162 games per season. That means Derek Jeter is on television 162 times, Payton Manning is on television 12 times, and Kobe Bryant is on television 82 times a year. Floyd Mayweather is on pay per view 1 maybe 2 times a year.

When careers were 100-200 fights long the stars could support a regular weekly program and Wednesday and Friday night fights got the same kind of ratings as football and baseball. Major advertizers would fork over big money when they could be sure that Ray Robinson would headline one week, Archie Moore the next, Rocky Marciano the card after that, then Carmen Basilio and Harold Johnson.

The scott incident wasn't the main problem last night, the Hererra robbery was the worst decision iv seen this year. Utter bull**** and the judges should be investigated plain and simple.

You know why? Because the two guys, despite not being able to throw punches worth a ****, both gave it 110 percent in standup affair, and at the end of the day the correct decision was rendered.

Not only that, but it was two of the top contenders in that division fighting for the vacant title. Not a bought-off WBC-sanctioned-title gift mismatch like what happens in boxing all the time.

 GTFO! have you ever boxed?
Some time ago in sparring i got clocked with a wild shot, that i did not see, on the chin and my legs went jello. He followed that up with another one right on the button while my chin was hanging up in the air and it was nothing compared to the first one because i saw that one coming and was ready to take it. My sparring mate was amazed that i did not go down. He said the second one felt even harder.

If Herrera had got what he earned last night, it would have been a memorable fight and we would have a new major player in the division. Instead Garcias reputation was tarnished while Herrera probably fades into Bolivian because he is high risk, low reward. Boxing lost a new star. The division died a little. Boxing lost. The fans lost. Garcia lost, even if he got the decision.. He would still be a star if he took the L. Nothing good comes out of this garbage.
