All the guys he fought with the exception of Zab Judah were coming off wins. Every fighter he fought was a champion.

Of course you probably believe Margacheato and Cotto were better then what they were. I.e you bought into the hype.

I thought we've been over this?

Margarito had a chance to fight Mayweather on the Judah card. He declined.

He then had another chance to fight Mayweather if his promoter guaranteed Mayweather could get a fight with Oscar. Arum lied and said he couldnt get Floyd 20 mil and Floyd fought BAldomir. What dont you understand about this?

N'dou,Sosa,Brusseles,Corley,Gatti,Mitchell c'mon man you gonna tell me he couldnt have faced better fighters during that time, hell a win over a guy like Cotto even if you think hes overrated would add more to his legacy than having wins over those six.

he wasnt tied to any contract moron. quit making **** up

from 2006 (probably why you dummies cant remember or want to forger

Mayweather turns down $8 million to fight Margarito

    Larry Merchant on Floyd-Margo

"Margarito has a chance," Larry told TSS. "You can't dismiss him. He's about the largest welterweight I've ever seen. If you're trying to make a case for him winning, you have to talk about his size, and the extra motivation he has to...clean up after himself. His can be a difficult style to overcome. You're talking about a guy who when he was on the top of his game Floyd Mayweather didn't want any part of. But how far he is from the top of his game can only be seen at that fight."

Mayweather did indeed slither away from Margarito in 2006; he and his people said that was because he needed time to heal up a hand injured against Zab Judah. And that

You also forget to note that Mayweather had just bought himself out of the contract with Arum to be a free agent and make more money.

Yet Arum offered a contract that had Mayweather resigning back with Top Rank and having him make less money for bigger threats. And the DLH fight was out of the picture with Arum.

At 140 who was there to fight besides Corley (a good champion who lost an SD to Judah, beat Randall Bailey, had Cotto doing the chicken dance and just recently gave Maidana hell) and Gatti?

Tszyu was with showtime. And Hatton and Cotto wouldnt go near him and would have both got destroyed.

Floy wanted Mosley called him out, Mosley priced himself out. And Im more then sure Mayweather would have fought either Oscar and Mosley given the chance. From 135-140 there was a limited supply of A level opponents.

You asked about the JUDAH fight, not the Baldomir fight.

    Idiot.

Baldomir was the legit lineal champ. Don't give me that 9 loss BS. Baldmoir hadn't lost a fight in 8yrs until he met Mayweather. His early career losses came about when he was broke street vendor selling feather dusters, and taking fights on days notice with no training, just so he could get a small paycheck to feed his family.

And you don't seem to get it. If he signed to fight Margarito, then he would have been stuck with Top Rank, but instead he bought himself out and went on to make way more money. What he did made more sense.....period

Karceno's thread from a few days ago gives the best rebuttal to this thread. But, whether Floyd ducked Marg or not ( and I do not believe he did), it doesn't justify the fight for Manny. It's still a bull**** fight, considering all the other options Manny has, and it is not even the same fighter that was calling out Floyd in 2006. After being KTFO by Shane AND being exposed for his works of masonry, he's a toothless tiger who will serve as a punching bag, for the P4P 'King' .
