This is why I think Pac can't beat Mayweather (video)

Floyd in the early rounds was having a hard time finding Oscar with his punches. Normally Floyd is very accurate but he was missing a lot of punches...so was DLH but his jab was pretty much controlling the pace and action of the fight. Floyd finished stronger and I think that gave him the clear victory but it was still very compeitive.

I'm not questioning Floyd having elements to his game that are more than anything PAC has seen. That's a given....but on the same token....PAC is gonna bring things in his arsenal that Floyd has never experienced either.

damn you. I ended up watching the whole fight again and I was already late for work!

anyway, yours is a fairly straightforward assessment, and hard to fault.
    Marquez is a counterpuncher
Marquez gave Pac a lot of trouble
    Floyd is also a counterpuncher
Floyd is bigger and faster than JMM
    therefore
Floyd will be much more trouble for Pac

I'm pretty sure that's what most people who think Floyd will win are thinking. I tend to think the same way but the difference I think is that Pac really is more comfortable at the higher weights than he was at 130 against Marquez. I really think Pac having to cut 15 or so lbs for this fight made his rhythm and timing just a bit off. Maybe it's nothing, or maybe it could be a deciding factor. If Floyd can somehow find a way to be more aggressive than he usually is (like he was against Mosley) then Floyd probably takes this, because I really don't think Floyd can win by being a pure counterpuncher. He will have to be just aggressive as Marquez was in this fight. But in doing so, it would also give Pac more opportunities to land... so personally while I lean on Floyd winning, there's still enough factors that make this fight winnable for Pac.

The Cotto comment was rather ambiguous though, can't really see where you're coming from with that.

yep,.... count another hypothetical win for Floyd. If i'm not mistaken, he also has wins over Margo and Cotto, hypothetically.

When you're as good as Floyd, there's no need to prove it in the ring. :good

first of all that was a weight drained pac at 130 lbs, he is a diffreent fighter from those 2 years ago as well, he has stepped up his game big time.

    Floyd chin > Cotto chin:dead

Floyd also doesn't make it his business to get cut in every fight.

And what does one thing have to do with the other?.....And both Cotto and Floyd have been hurt by the same common opponents, and it was Floyd who got hurt more by both Corley and Mosley.

Corley shook up Floyd twice, he only shook up Cotto once.

Zab also knocked down Floyd, something he didn't do to Cotto despite landing a lot of punches on him. So how can you say Floyd has a better chin when both he and Cotto have gotten hurt by the same opponents but Floyd more so.

If Floyd won't fight Pac, I rather see Floyd fight Cotto or Martinez at 154. If Pac looked good against margarito at 151, I expect him to fight martinez at 154. Knowing arum, he might pit Pac against Pavlik. LOL That would be ****ing crazy. Pavlik is what 6'3?

Pavlik really cant make 160 without trouble. Roach/Arum will get Pavlik to a 156 catchweight which they can technically call a middleweight fight. All they need is Pavlik to get a vacant belt from somewhere, shouldnt be too hard to arrange.

Plus Arum has the habit of throwing his fighter to the wolves when he is tired of them. He is probably tired of Pavlik by now:think
