MMA is still relatively new and is going through it's honeymoon period,I don't see the hysteria surrounding every show continueing indefinitely and boxing will grab back the headlines......but anyone that makes the comment of 'all boxers are pussies' either..... does'nt know what there talking about, talk through there arsehole or the nearest they've came to a ring ,is an onion one.

Brian, if the MMA is killing boxing, it's only happening in the US.Boxing is booming here in Europe.HATTON HAS SOLD OUT A 55,000 SEATER STADIUM IN A FEW DAYS.

Exactly, MMA is a underground thing over here. It doesn't have the tradition or place in the culture that boxing has, and I doubt it ever will.

Whats wrong with liking both sports?

Why does there always have to be a rivalry?

Personally im glad to see both are doing well. And WWE for that matter.

I agree, it's like saying tennis will die out because badminton is doing well.

...Or the NFL is the most popular, so the NBA & MLB are ****ed. Nevermind the fact that both boxing and mma are both bringing in more money than they ever have. MMA is growing in popularity, so boxing must be in big trouble.:nut

Taking over boxing? **** does that mean?! I don't see Dana White stealing fighters from Bob Arum or Goldenboy and Chuck Liddell sure as **** isn't challenging for a cruiserweight title.

    Um....:huh

i mean taking over boxings casual fans, thus getting bigger and more mainstream as a sport. this is what seems to be happenening in the US. not a week goes by without a few threads on this very subject.

...And they're all bull****. As I pointed out before, both sports are doing better than ever, and if mma is taking fans away from boxing its certainly not reflected in the bottom line.
