Floyd cut off Golden Boy Promotions to make this fight. Otherwise the money would of been split 3 ways. It's no wonder Oscar has been salty against Mayweather and Haymon, also trying to steal Floyd's May 5 date with Canelo. I'll call Arum lucky to get a cash out with Manny but Oscar is the true loser here and Mayweather is the real winner, that's a smart guy for a fighter. Income will be huge!
i guess that's why floyd let leonard ellerbe run the show vs maidana 2. It was practice for the big show and ellerbe blew it. The fight is going to sell it's self so it doesn't reall ymatter
Floyd has Ellerbee back on the team, he was involved with the negotiations to a degree. I think Ellerbee is pretty much the guy Floyd sends in to the meetings when he doesn't want to be there.
LOL, Oscar will be making big money for decades to come. Will Floyd? This is Floyd's 2nd last fight, maybe his last. Its over for him once his boxing ends. He's not smart at all and wouldn't be surprised he loses all his money someday soon after he retires. Regardless if he's a promoter or not, he's not a business man like Oscar. Oscar was the PPV KING, and now Promoter king. Now that is a smart man.
So oscars mad he's not getting a 2 million dollar flat fee? Thats how much coke he use to use in 1 sit down :rofl
GB is extremely dependent on Canelo right now. Haymon came in and stole control of GB's fighters right under ODLH's coke filled nose. Where the hell was his business savvy then? If Canelo's career dives GB will be in a world of hurt that Schaefer isn't around to fix.
*******s. Oscar cut out Schaeffer and Haymon because they were running his company from beneath him and stealing all of the profits basically. They will still be getting their cut of this fight.
Al Haymon is a business man though, and I'm sure he and floyd will find ways to make money for years to come. Especially in boxing promotion.
I don't know where you're from, but boxing's biggest Market is the American SouthWest or more specifically the Latino market, the biggest consumers of boxing PPV, and biggest consumers of boxing programming. Here in Southern CA and I'm sure TX as well GBP has a huge presence. GBP just launched a new Fight Club and it's all sold out!! http://www.goldenboypromotions.com/...fight-club-set-to-premiere-on-friday-march-6/ He's working with Fernando Vargas on some future things and also working with other former Boxers who want to continue with boxing after they are retired. These type Oscar may have been swindled by his own mistakes, but make no mistake, GBP is still in a great position with a lot of connections and a huge market to cater too.
Mayweather-Pacquiao is one fight only. After Mayweather and Pacquiao boxing continues to exist....for real boxing afficionados, maybe not for Fl0m0s or Pacturds, but for real fans and boxing affiliates there is more to boxing than two cherry pickers.
Oscar don't have any fighters to make tons of money with, unless you think Canelo-Kirkland about to break records
