Phillips was moving early on.. those right hooks to the body slowed him down bigtime.. PW was landing about 4-5 flush and hard body shots with righthooks per round.

and I was just curious to see why you are hating on PW so much, I thought maybe you were just a very bias latino fan... just as there are very bias black fans, white fans, euro fans, american fans....

Paul williams beat up a guy who never really gets beat up. He overcame adversity with a eye gushing out blood. He has a good attitude and is fun to watch. I just can't understand why a fan of Boxing would be hating on him... Who cares whether or not you think PBF would beat him or not... the simple fact is , the fight won't happen-- For a reason .. TOO much risk vs reward for Mayweather.

Boxing needs fighters like Paul Williams... So STOP the HATING , This guy is a world class fighter and very Exciting!

Right but with the boyyish bickering aside. Paul Williams gets hit with a lot of punches he shouldnt even be in range for. I think Mayweather delivers better than williams and would reach the target more. I actually met PW in Augusta and he is a really nice kid I think my opinion of him not looking like the most feared fighter in the sport has been taken out of context. Im not a hater or an idiot. But I think Im entitled to my opinion as thats all we all have untill certain fighters meet.

I think PBF is an amazing fighter, and an ATG.... Problem is, this is like comparing a lightweight to Light Middleweight... I can see this fight going either way if it were to ever happen...

Of course PBF has better skills , but PW is no Slouch. It would just be asking PBF to overcome some pretty big physical disadvantages. He should fight Williams at 154 or 147.. if PBF were to win, it would propel him very high for hardcore boxing fans. If he could beat a young physical monster who has belts at different weights, I would have Floyd in my top 25 ATG list ,no doubt

The pretty boy wouldn't be so pretty after fighting The Punisher. Those body hooks that he was landing on Verno who make The pretty one cry like in Aztek Warrior's avatar.

Paul is a real problem. You saw him dominate and punish a boxer who has never really been stopped (once, actually in his 5th fight in '88). He has ridiculous power, although his 82" reach sometimes hides that fact - but it's very evident with the results of his punches. I'm a believer. I think he has a great career ahead of him, but I don't know who in their right mind would want to fight this guy right now. I'd like to see Margarito rematch only to prove that Paul is who his supporters think he is - The Punisher.

Good post, I agree. Paul doesnt use his height and reach like he should. His inside game (and body attack) is already really good for a tall guy his size. He needs to work on staying on the outside and taking advantage of his height and reach more.

Also I have noticed his defense improving as well. He is blocking more shots than he used to.

It ain't gonna happen. Margarito is a *****, and his fans worship him. You will only get accused of being some undercover Floyd fan, just because you want to see the only fight that matters at 147 right now. Get used to it. PW haters are evrywhere. You're outnumbered. :-(

well i dont like either fighter but

Williams defiantly has his number....of course Mayweather is the better fighter and aside from Williams physical advantages he's just a B class fighter but

the physical advantages are gonna kill him....but actually, maybe i'm wrong because he was outboxed by Quintana, so surely Mayweather can do the same

so yeah lemme change that....i'd take Mayweather on a SD
