Jones was Ko 'ed once by Tarver in 3 fights and in 9 rds against Johnson yeah thats a glass jaw alright atschDam idiots !

A fighter that gets knocked out becomes more susceptible to being knocked down or out again, when hit hard on the chin afterwards...it's just the way it is !

Jones had an alright chin before suffering his KO to Tarver. If you go through his fight collection, even with his awesome reflexes, you can see he was hit many times flush on the chin in the past by other guys, including Ruiz, a heavyweight champ that had already dropped Holyfield before.

I totally agree the "glass jaw thing" needs to stop. That glass jaw mockery is nothing but a hate agenda carried on by either pure haters or idiots.

 

I agree with this Tarver could crack,that was a great shot he hit Jones with,but Johnson wasnt a great hitter at 160 and even less so at 175.

1. Roy Jones went 50 fights and 15 years as a pro without being knocked out.

2. He was 35 when he first got knocked out.

3.He got hit by a thumderous shot from a solid world class puncher.

4.He has been knocked out a sum total of THREE TIMES in SIXTY ONE fights!!!!7

5. He fought a prime Toney and Hopkins yet never was really rocked. He fought countless world champions yet was never seriously hurt.

6.He wasnt a "juicer". He took an over the counter supplement from a regular store that contained a supplement banned by the IBF. To compare this to what someone like Mosely(took a designer steroid to gain an edge) did is ludicrous.

Spot on. It's interesting how people say that Jones had a glassjaw, and at the same time, say isn't an ATG. I mean, if he can have a glass jaw, and still dominate his way up to HW winning 50 fights, thats greatness right there.

It's just the morons who are uninformed about the history of RJ that make these idiotic claims. I've seen the vast majority of RJ's professional fights, if not all of them (i can't recall). But you don't pretty much go 50-0 without taking some clean, flush shots. And he fought some great fighters to boot. He was never hurt. People talk about the flash KD with De Valle. It was just that, a flash.
