Like Ruiz Tarver and Toney were real power punchers!!! The 2 biggest punchers @ that time were Benn and Gman. Roy fought neither.

You sure about Toney not being a power puncher ?And go check the facts as to why he and Benn never fought before you reply with such rubbish ! And Jones fought Gman as an ametuer ..Funny thing is even though Gman won Jones was never dropped !

Rubbish? Benn called out jones. Toney didn't even hit near as hard as either 1 of them. Jones fought a weight drained Toney. Gman was known as a power puncher in the amateurs either.

Jones is a liar. He didn't drop 25lbs of muscle, he dropped like 8lbs, maybe 10 at most. Plus there are many LHW that went to heavyweight, and back down to LHW and were fine. His performance against Tarver was flat but he still clearly won the first fight, no ****ing way can you give Tarver 7 rounds in their first fight.

He got old and KO'd simple as that.

Man im too lazy to go back to the Benn thread ..Go look it up the fight never happened due to Kings involvement !And Toney didn't hit near as hard as him ??For real ??:lol: And have you followed Toney's career before the Jones fight he could never make weight ..You really should know your history man ..Now your reaching ..Toney was 44-0 with 29 ko's going into that fight and the consensus best fighter p4p !Yet he didn't hit as hard as Benn and Gman :patsch

Why don't u go back and look @ who had a higher ko % then since u know so much! And yeah toney had problems making weight for that fight which is nothing new for Toney.

Ruiz had not had a KO in almost 5 years prior to the Jones fight. Wonder why Jones picked him?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Even Byrd had a stoppage victory in that time frame. No wonder Jones did not pick him instead.

It doesn't stop the Jones fan boys from acting like Ruiz was some murderous punching heavyweight force. Truth is once again Jones took the path of least resistance to grab a trinket belt something he did his whole career. :deal

Exactky so stop using the excuse of Toney being drained ..So Toney has a lower KO percentage ? And what does that make him less of a puncher ? You act like Gmen and Benn were just dropping fools at first glance !

Go do your homework on the Benn fight then get back to me .See what was offered to Benn and what he wanted before you say Jones ducked him!

Benn called him out more then once. If u want 2 ride jones dick thats ur choice. Why fight him when u can continue 2 feast off of bums?! And yeah Gman and Benn had one punch ko power.

I dont think he had a glass jaw,no way could he win that many fights before Tarver(forget the Griffin loss)with a glass jaw.He just started to lose his punch resistance around the same time he lost a little of the reflexes and instead of getting out of the way or moving with the punch he just took them full on.The shot Tarver nailed him with would have KOed most light heavy weights.Roy should have seen he either needed to change his style of fighting or better still retire but his chin was not bad.
