...and the moment your own super hero finally fought a real live threat at 147lbs, he himself gave us a little "dancing with the stars (chicken style)" sample inside that ring. :hey ... probably more to come with time (age) like RJJ, providing he keeps testing himself with the best legit possible fighters out there.

And yet "feather fisted" Glen Jonson has a higher KO ratio than Ross Purity, a fighter who managed to put Vlad on ***** street. I find it quite hilarious that you never seem to include Vladimir on any of these Glass Jaw joke list. Going by your silly criteria, he should be at the top of your rankings.

Props to Jones for having such great success while carrying around a china chin. Rarely is a fighter a perfect physical specimen without deficiencies, and having a weak chin has plagued many fighters. Most of the time it's a deficiency that's pretty much impossible to overcome, at least when it comes to being an ATG.

While it's popular on this board to **** on guy's with weak chins, I certainly think the opposite if it's in regard to a fighter who has experienced success. Ultimately you can't choose the kind of chin you have, and you can't do much to make it better either.
So yes, Jones' chin caught up to him once he got older, but he had a great run for many years and deserves credit for that. Lesser skilled fighters would have been on the canvas many more times than Jones ever was.

Some posters here just don't want to undertsand that when you get heavily clocked once, you then become more prone to it again as your punch resistance diminishes , especially when you're aging and your legs aren't as strong as they use to be !

Prior to the Tarver-Jones II fight, Jones' chin was like any other average boxer out there, not great but not bad. He proved it in many fights for those that can still see with their eyes open !

Really, before his KO loss to Tarver, when was Jones ever hurt? I know he was stunned once by Ruiz with a flush right but other than that, i don't recall. So how can a china chin fighter pretty much go 50-0 before being hurt? It's not like he avoided flush shots in his first 50 fights. No one is THAT great.

Here's a video you might be interested in. Toney calling out both Jones and Eubank.

Eubank and Benn never fought Toney, Jones did.

So using your logic Jones is braver than Benn, and better, surely?

That's your argument ****ed, now leave this thread.

Jones never once failed a test for steroids. VITLAY has though, and I suspect that him and his brother have used them for most of their careers. Jones MIGHT have used, but it's never been proven whereas in Klitschkos case it was.

He also seems to forget that Benn couldn't get by Malinga to even fight Jones....

Yeah I made that point in another thread. To be fair the McClellan fight ruined Benn like the Watson fight ruined Eubank and I completely understand that - but to say that Jones was scared of fighting those two is way off the mark regardless of those tragic incidents.

In fact I'd say that Jones was champing at the bit to get Benn in the ring around that time because of what Benn did to Jones friend....Benn knew this, just read his autobiography for proof.

I don't blame Benn for not fighting Jones as he'd dealt with a lot, but the reason the fight never happened lies with Benn and not Jones. I don't believe Benn was scared, he'd just had enough at that point, hence his poor performances following the McClellan fight. That had nothing to do with Jones though, Jones was in no way scared of Benn. The reason that fight didn't happen was due to Nigel Benn, not Roy Jones.
