Prior to Tarver II, yes little man... No one will ever claim that Jones had an iron chin but it was average and on par with most boxers in the sport. Prior to his second fight with Tarver, he was hit flush many times on the chin since his pro debut in 1989. If you watch all his fights, you'll see it very clearly !! Didn't Ruiz hit him flush ? Yes sir ! Isn't Ruiz the guy that had already dropped Holyfield down ? Yes sir ! Wasn't Holyfield able to stand on his feet after taking flush shots from Mike Tyson ? Yes sir ! IRREFUTABLE FACT When a fighter gets knocked out once, his punch resistance diminishes, especially when he's getting old such as Jones (35 years old when the Tarver KO happened) and his legs aren't also as strong anymore to compensate during the impact... IRREFUTABLE FACT Now take your dumb & dumber mentality outta here with your brain dead **** !
pasky2000 is a bona fide Jones nuthugger. He posted this thread entitled "Roy Jones will beat Joe Calzaghe" http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84388 "I'm going out on a limb here saying that Calzaghe and most boxing fans will be shocked by this one last outstanding performance from RJJ... Never mind the past knockouts or the fact he's already 39 years old. The man will show one last time what extremely fast counter punches can do. I predicted a win for Margarito against Cotto by TKO 11 and I am predicting right now a UD decision of 116-112 across the table for the ex-Superman !! The world will be shocked one last time !!! " :rofl:rofl:rofl pasky200 absolutely pwned and exposed. It's irrefutable. bbb
I'm a Jones fan and never shied away from that ! What I previously said still stands, cause it holds solid ground and is quite accurate for neutral observers that understand the intangibles in boxing. You on the other hand, repeatedly sound like a high school dropout that will never fully grasp how much of an idiot he really is. Good luck champ
atsch I am a Glass Jaw expert and ESB Titan who has yet to lose an argument or debate to this day. Now scurry along nuthugger and leave the boxing talk to us Heavyweights. :nono
Honest to goodness, I cannot believe that people actually throw this crap out there. It is like a made-up excuse for fighters who get starched, to try to deny the obvious shaky chins their heroes have. What really amazes me is that when it happens multiple times, they STILL deny it. As if ALL of the punches that starched their hero "woulda KOd anyone." What idiocy.
Jones had a decent chin until he got knocked out in consecutive fights. Manny Steward stated that Roy should've taken at least 12-18 months off after Jones v Tarver II.
