Parker, a more proven fighter with better skills, Ibeabuchi relied on his strength and Parker would handle that fight, Parker on points...
Ibeabuchi is all wrong for Parker too durable too much workrate. He would break down Parker similar to Joyce did.
Ike. Parker has converted me into a fan. I used to think he was this era's Calvin Brock - decent at a lot of things without being great at anything. But the truth is he is much better than Brock. Parker has good footwork, solid defense when he is following a game plan, good but not great punching power, solid handspeed, decent work rate and plenty of heart. He follows a gameplan well and in his last few fights, he has been outstanding. But Parker isn't as elusive as Usyk. He is a 240-250 lb man and no matter how well you move, if you are that big, you are hittable. Ibeabuchi hits harder than Parker and can maintain a higher work rate. Parker has very little to keep Ike off. If Tua's left hooks were being eaten by Ike, how is Parker going to keep him off? Yes Parker has good footwork but he isn't Ali- Parker gets his plenty. He was hit plenty vs Zhang and Ruiz among others. I am willing to bet good money that Ike can move faster on his feet than either Zhang or Ruiz could. Parker can keep it competitive for a few rounds but ultimately the harder hitting more naturally gifted Ike will start to maul him and take over. Parker is neither elusive enough nor powerful enough to keep Ike off. The current Parker who follows a gameplan to a T may last the distance and lose a 8-4 or a 9-3 type decision. The younger Parker who was even more hittable would get stopped late ala Joyce. I like Parker; he is one of my favourite heavyweights today. Outside of Usyk, he might actually be my favourite of the top 6 heavies. But this is a bad stylistic match up for him. Ike by decision or late stoppage though there will be competitive rounds.
Ibeabucci stops any version of Parker. Parker does not have anything to deter Ike from just coming forward all night in destruction mode.
Parker isn't good enough defensively, the Zhang and Wilder wins are good, but they aren't evidence of him beating a mauler like Ibeabuchi.
I'll take it further, theirs not an active heavyweight boxer in the world today I'd pick to beat Ibeabuchi at his best. That includes Usyk, and especially Joseph Parker.
You think he'd beat Usyk and Fury? That seems like a bit of a stretch, even AJ in his current form ain't the worst pick against Ike.
Not a stretch at all if you saw Ibeabuchi fight, or Parker without rose colored glasses on. Ike showed me more with in his victory over Tua , and complete destruction of Chris Byrd then anything Parker has done in the ring. Parker couldn't deal with the aggression of Joe Joyce , who in comparison to Ibeabuchi fought in slow motion. Imagine him trying to defend against the rapid fire, crisp combo's of Ibeabuchi who could fight 12 rds at a fast pace without much of a drop off? In my opinion he couldn't deal with it and Ibeabuchi stops him with in 8 rds at the max. There's levels to pro boxing. Unfortunately the sport itself especially at heavyweight has declined the last twenty years are so. A lot of "world champs " today wouldn't have been top ten contenders in other era's especially Fighters like Joyce, Parker, Zhang , and Wilder.
I think you might've misread my reply. I agreed with you in my initial post, and I too think that Ibeabuchi would be far too much for Parker- But in your next statement, you said that Ibeabuchi would beat every heavyweight active in the world today, including Usyk and Fury, which I think is blatantly untrue. Why do you think that he'd Usyk or Fury?
