Consider GSP's dominance, he's superior striking & G&P game over BJ and consider how BJ performed against one of his division's best in Florian.

    GSP = The truth.

GSP was too big for Penn though..... just like GSP would be too small for Sliva.

Dana White is a **** though. Anderson Silva is the best rounded MMA fighter EVER and he ain't even the main event???

    That was years ago!

Only the best boxers can knock people out going backwards.... and Silva tonight did it in a cage. Need I say no more.....

I never said the contrary...it was years ago...But i still maintain...What happened back then....Would not happen to "the" best rounded mma fighter "ever"....

And you can't even blame it on "high" competition...( Chonan is solid but very inconsistent...Takase wasn't even ranked at that time)...

Griffin is an absolute moron...He should've taken this fight to the ground but he never even bothered to. (not that it woulda changed much imo...but maybe he could've lasted longer)...

Me being an idiot doesn't change what happened back then...I think my point is valid.

are we talking about "the" best "ever"... ? yes or no ?

Gsp got Armbar by Huges and ko by journeyman Serra.

So that leaves Fedor, a guy who beats washed up ufc heavyweights

Silva is cleaning the division, He's out classing fighters who are hungry

    3 points...

1 - Prior to arlovski's fight against Fedor...the guy had a winning streak ( 5 wins in a row ) and was part of the top 3...

2 - Griffin already had a loss prior to his fight against Anderson...

3 - Back in 2004 (when Anderson lost to chonan)...Fedor was defending his belt against Nogueira.

I don't have problems. I'm just saying , it seems logical to me that Anderson doesn't qualify as "the best rounded ever"....

Prove me the contrary... Instead of telling me that i have problems or that i'm stupid...prove me wrong.

I don't think anyone qualifies as the best rounded ever in the sport. They all have their flaws...And losses which never should've happened. ( that is , IF we're talking about the best rounded "EVER"...)

Or maybe i need to check what that means in the dictionnary.

You are showing videos from 5 years ago that Anderson was subbed. In the UFC, hes been taken down, on his back a few times and he has submitted, koed, decisioned every ****in fighter they put in front of him.

If he is not the best well rounded, being considered is something that cant be dismissed. The guy has won every which way possible in the last 3 years against every type of fighter in a couple of weight classes.

He is arguably the best rounded ever, you could name a handful that maybe better but hes up there.

Showing videos of a few years ago shows me one thing, you do not think a fighter can evolve and can get better. You do not believe in the evolution of MMA or of the MMA fighter who trumpets how they are more rounded now. Frankly its ridiculous.

And to answer the question, if you say no one is the best rounded, then Silva qualifies as one of the closest to it as possible.

    It wasn't a title fight.

BJ is the best lightweight ever and was fighting a title fight, that gets the main event. Silva was fighting up a weight division in a non title fight, that is a lesser fight in the grand scheme of things.

This videos of 2004 **** is exactly that ****. Lets throw out GSP vs Hughes 1 videos and show everyone how crappy GSPs BJJ skills are. In 2004 MMA wasnt even on TV yet hell we were at UFC 50 when that year ended now where leaving 101 and not to mention the like 30 shows on Spike we have had that arent numbered. Long time ago and alot of **** has happened since then and alot of improvement has been made.
